Reviews for A Harry Situation |

![]() ![]() ![]() You finally updated yeah! How did you guess I'd do Ginny with strawberries? Thanks for the explanation on Draconian yes it would be interesting if Hermione made an extra credit essay on How Boys are Prats. And maybe accidentally turn it in to Professor Snape, whom actually approves of it! That would be funny and strange at the same time. |
![]() ![]() ! What's happened to Harry? The thought of Petunia putting a shot of gin in her lemonade made me snicker. Poor Harry and his bursts of sorrow. Very poignant, the way that he just waits for them to pass. It makes my heart ache for him. "She'd spent years ignoring his tears." That line really made me cry. Darn it, I wish you COULD smuggle a fifteen year old wizard into this country wrapped up in his Dad's cloak. The scene with Hermione and Rupert was another heart-wrencher. Poor Hermione, so warm-hearted, so worried about those she loves, wanting so much to DO SOMETHING. I hope whatever she's trying to do with her chemistry will work out. And the discussion of Wizards & Shakespeare was fascinating! Harry's letter to Ron, and Ginny's letter to Harry were both funny and perfect. I loved Harry's advice to "Romeo" Weasley and Ginny's thinking out every single word before she wrote. And she's struck gold (literally) with her question about the twins' money... Harry really CAN reassure her about that! Assuming that he's okay... so please hurry with the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() I like your story. I haven't seen the relationship between Harry and his aunt covered much in the fanfic I have read. I particularly like this chapter with Mrs Weasley and Ginny cleaning the attic. I can just picture them scaring the dust bunnies! I do hope you keep going. I'd like to see how this turns out. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You are doing a great Job! I need to take some tips from you on writing. You have gotten to tell a better-rounded story than I at this time. I am glad I read this it goads be forward to write better chapters. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter, i look forward to more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! Chapter four! I can't wait to read what happened to Harry! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your fic is great. Can't wait to see what will happen on the nesxt chapter, please update soon. I really want to see how Ron will react to Harry's letter. |
![]() ![]() Wow, Hermione is so stressed about Harry's life... it almost seems as if she has a crush on him even though I know you're making it a R/H ship. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great work, Jill. Of course, from you great fan fiction work isn't surprising, but your work is always a welcome treat. As for getting out more, well, one can only hope. |
![]() ![]() Aiee! You can't leave us *there*! Couldn't you have stopped somewhere *else*? Before! Or after! Doh! Actually, it's probably good that there isn't another chapter up, else I'd never get my History paper done. Nevertheless, *please* update soon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wee! I really like this fic. Ginny is great in it (and I loved the dust bunny thing) I like the story Molly told, about . Keep up the great writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() YAY great story. wonderfuly written. i love it! keep the updates going strong! (and keep it Hr/R and H/G! i love everything h/g hehehehehe...*gigglegiggle*) -ingrid -random letters |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ooo, speedy update! Lovely seeing all the Molly and Ginny interaction in this chapter, and I liked your explanation of why the Weasley children manage to get away with magic away from Hogwarts. It's always bothered me that Harry got an official warning for a floating pudding and yet they could all play Quidditch when he visited without any problem. Ginny and Molly's chat about "boys" was wonderful as was the image of Ginny herding the dust bunnies during the attic cleaning. One thing though - we don't have cockroaches in England or at least, we don't call them that I don't think. I suppose they're basically just beetles, but ours are tiny things that you don't really see that often. Then again, being a witch I suppose the younger Molly would have been quite capable of casting a charm on them until they reached scary proportions! Arthur and Molly's teenage romance sounded sweet, and her spending all that time training her cat to steal his woolly garments was funny. Poor Molly though having to compete against the child of imagineers; she must really have had something special to win Aruthur’s heart! Aww, and the name Hermes was continued in the family too - I wonder if Percy had heard this story from his parents before! Hermione's dad was great - just the kind she needs to stop her from being too serious. It was nice to see he was just as intrigued by magic as Arthur Weasley is by Muggles! Rupert and Emma Granger by the way - nice touch. I do hope you're going to keep the rest of the story coming as quick - I can't wait to see what Hermione comes up with to speak to Harry. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks, for the compliment but I think your stories are much better. I've been thinking about how to write a essay on Males are Prats with just a younger brother as my unfortunate guinea pig. Actually that would be funny if Hermione did write one and her father would send it to Ron. Just thinking about it makes me giggle. Dursleys aren't exactly draconian now are they besides two of them being unnaturally large. Porkish, but that's already been used but maybe you could use whales or seals. Or walruses, Vernon Dursley does have enough of a mustache to count it as pointy whiskers. Thanks for uploading! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yaaaay! New Chapter! Ginny's thoughts on how absolutely everyone around her knows how she feels about Harry made me laugh. Even in despair, that girl's got a marvelous sense of humor! The conversation between Molly and Ginny was an absolute delight. I loved the look at younger Molly and Arthur and Melissa the Muggle-Born! (It's a good thing that young Arthur's parents didn't have a fellytone, they'd have been on it for hours ;-)) The glimpse of sneaky-Molly nicking Arthur's warm scarves and mittens was adorable! And it was an inspired stroke of genius to have Melissa's parents be Imagineers! Molly is a wise woman. Her advice to Ginny on building her relationship with Harry was well thought out and given with just the right blend of practicality and compassion. Then there was another equally delightful scene with Hermione and Rupert Granger. (Who's name is PERFECT.) I like Hermione's Dad. He's just the perfect sort of Muggle for a wizard to meet. Funny, clever, open-minded, warm and human. I liked the bit about him wishing for male pattern baldness. I also liked him wanting to see Hermione turn him into a frog. His dry sense of humor makes me want to hug him, it's a lot like his daughter's. "We've already established my paternity, Hermione." That was adorable. Now I'm wracking my brains, trying to figure out what Hermione's up to with that perfume... |
