loved it! so dark, so deep... perfect
| sabbe chapter 1 . 10/23/2015
this was very poignant, it's really sad to see them so desensitized by the violence in their lives bc of war
| JadedLights07 chapter 1 . 6/21/2013
wow, intense but great! well done :D
| kingslayers chapter 1 . 7/19/2012
okay, so i bookmarked this like seven bloody months ago to read but i clearly fail at life.
anyway, kaye, this was absolutely beautiful.
okay, so, i've written one marauders story in my whole life (and it was a siriusmarlene! lol) but i really love reading them because the relationships are all so complex and IT'S SET IN A WAR, MAN.
i loved Marlene. She was just so delightfully broken, I thought it worked incredibly. She seemed to represent, to me, a lot of things that many writers skip over - the similarity between gryffindor and slytherin, the disheartening fact about the war that when people die, other people cry and it doesn't matter if they're a minor character because they've got to matter to fucking someone, yeah? A lot of writers seem to ignore that, and you didn't and that was brilliant.
Also, Sirius with his questions and all of his emotions and his opinions of Marlene and just everything and he was just perfect. I thought he was incredibly in character, and that it made sense and totally fit canon (idk some marauder fics don't) and I just really adored this.
The last section was beautiful okay because she dies only a week later and 'he never manages to forget Marlene McKinnon' and omfg Kaye how do you even do this how is anyone so talented just GAH.
I loved it; their dynamic, the lines and the section of their lives that you showed us.
It was fab.

p.s. is the title a reference to angels on the moon by thriving ivory? because that song is amazing.
if not, forget i said that, lol!

| TwistedRaver chapter 1 . 12/16/2011
It takes a very well written story to do that. And well, you've done that.
I absolutely love Sirius/Marlene and I'm so happy that I came across this.
Keep up the great work! :)
| sydneysages chapter 1 . 11/21/2011
Oh mi God, t'was amazing.
This was absolutely gorgeously perfect; i LOVE this pairing and they're so utterly perfect!
I love how they're so disenheartened about the entire war that's going on, that they're falling apart from it, and you wrote it to an amazing standard!
your metaphors were amazing in there and i adored the characterisation of marlene - it was amazingly awesomesauce! xxx
| justalittle l o o n y chapter 1 . 10/29/2011
That was so terribly heartbreaking, love. I seriously loved their relationship, how they were both so broken, and they didn't necessarily fix each other. They just... understood. That's kind of the definition of a good friendship for me, so this was brilliant!
If there's one thing I'd like to say, it's that I didn't really see much romantic chemistry between them, and while they sizzled as friends, I didn't really get a good sense of them actually liking each other. The kiss and sex seemed a bit sudden to me.
But other than that, that was amazing and wonderful. :D
| lowi chapter 1 . 10/9/2011
Kaye; I'm crying. This was so beautiful, I can't even.
That ending paragraph was just ajdjagag.
And Marlene - she was so awesome; you wrote her wonderfully!
And Sirius. &hearts
It was so lovely; all of it. The emotions, their feelings, the whole set up. I'm speechless.
/wants to favourite this a million times
| pyr0technic chapter 1 . 9/30/2011
The ending was so beautifully tragic. :3
| Julia Claire chapter 1 . 8/18/2011
Urgh, Kaye, I'm sorry - I know I've owed you a review from review tag for forever!
Anyway, I actually don't even like Maurader's Era all that much, and I don't even really have any ships I'm particularly attached to - but this summary really caught my eye, and well, it's you, so of course I loved it. Your writing... It makes me just want to go adkgjvu, but that would be a terrible review, so...
I love your Marlene. I really liked how she swore and drank and was just so messed up - but perfect for Sirius. I thought their whole conversation was brilliant too, and gosh, I loved the end so freaking much. It was so tragic, but so perfect for them
(My only question was how exactly Sirius messed up in sixth year?)
Amazing job - I'm now favouriting you as an author. :)
| Rainbow Dust chapter 1 . 8/18/2011
It's been long since I read Sirius/Marlene I'm afraid, I'm more in the... writing them :D
I always love finding GOOD stories about them, like this one.
Thank you for writing it!
| paper parasols chapter 1 . 7/20/2011
you are a fantastic writer. i cannot believe i never added you to my author alerts. yout story was simply amazing. marlene is basically everything i imagined: this strong brave woman with the personality. it's so strangely sentimental, but mostly it's harsh how the emotion hits you. i'm mostly so very impressed with how you write sirius's relationships with the marauders.
truly lovely. definitely added to my favorites!
| Oddly Inspired chapter 1 . 7/17/2011
Absolutely lovely, though I'm not sure that's the correct word. I'm a terrible reviewer- I do it so infrequently I suppose I never got much practice with it- and the mere fact that I'm bothering speaks for how much I enjoyed this! The dialogue was spot-on, and the idea of the boys being so secretly fractured despite being such a symbol of unity and hope within the Order is particularly... I don't know what, really, but it's sadly logical thing.
| currents chapter 1 . 7/15/2011
SiriusMarlene i e!
Loved it Kaye :)
