| Guest chapter 1 . 10/17/2013
Holy shit that was intense and insane! I loved the underground fighting, but the events afterwards was kind of disturbing. It was nice seeing different sides of them, with the pairing or trio in this case. Jasper and Emmett...somehow that's so fitting. Great story.

Something tells me that Jasper has done this before...pretty crazy!

| Love Edward Loathe Jacob chapter 1 . 4/7/2012
This is just beautiful writing.
It's so raw and just gorgeous.
It fuels the rage and violence in me even though I didn't know it existed. It would be perfect if there was a bit more lemon!
| LSRP chapter 1 . 3/28/2012
Loved the Jasper. Too bad Jacob never got to hear why he was gonna end his night in pieces.

I was writing with Sarah earlier, and I mentioned I really wanted to read a twi/fight club type fic, and she passed me this, and I have so many feelings right now.
Firstly, your writing is gorgeous, all soft and hard, pretty and gritty. I have so many lines I want to quote, but I'll limit myself to just a few so I don't spam your story back to you. lol
"I couldn't wait to feel his blood kissing my knuckles." I think this one was my favourite.
"My breathing was suddenly a low, dark bassline humming to the percussion in my chest. I felt my hands wind themselves into fists and my throat tighten, a cold railroad spike of adrenaline piercing my guts." Like, I felt this line.
"I was a walking bullet bearing Jacob's name."
"I took his hand and shook it, looking respect but thinking goodbye."
"A kiss of favor from the angel of violence." So powerful.
This was personal, violent, beautiful, shocking. Just a really, really good one shot.
I loved it.

how this got less than hundreds of reviews, i don't know. this was amazing; your style of writing, your descriptions and imagery, your characters. I loved it, thank you very much for writing and publicising this.
| linsadair chapter 1 . 11/18/2011
This is one of the most gorgeous things I've read in a long time. I heart Emmett and Jasper together. Edward's POV makes me happy. Taking out the trash is sometimes necessary. Great story.

Fight Club is mah favorite movie of all time. Chuck P is a genius. With that said! YOU KILLED JAKE! Bravo! No seriously, I love *how* you killed him. Personal, vengeful. Respect, bb. I loved Edward here, so incredibly beautiful and just UNF manly! I want him in mad bed nekked rtfn!
| mauigirl60 chapter 1 . 10/31/2011
This story made a lot of sense. . . I've seen Fight Club, but nobody ever addressed what would happen if somebody died from their beating. Since the club was supposed to be a secret, that surely would have thrown a monkeywrench into the works. So I totally agree with what Jasper did. Edward is just as possessive as ever and I love him. FightWard rules!
| Lux123 chapter 1 . 10/8/2011
Wow - an expected turn in events!
I loved the whole vibe of this. A Fight Club feel. Its gruesome and grungy... yet, the grit is made kind of beautiful by all the little vignettes in your writing. The descriptions; rich and decadent worked to infiltrate my senses - I saw everything so perfectly and vividly in my mind's eye. Miss LovelyBrutal, it is more than evident you are a poet. But contrary to what your profile says ;) ..you are most definitely a writer too. The molding of the story is that of a capable, skillful writer.
I especially love the characterization of Edward. An artist; painter by day. An amateur boxer by night. A no holds barred, clandestine Thursday night fighter. Has a particular fondness for purple and doesn't give a fuck what anybody thinks. Loves his girl madly, possessively. And will avenge any and all wrong doing done to her like that of ruthless archangel on a holy mission.
So many parts that I loved (too many to list), but namely all the 'purplisms.’ The melange of purples – from his reminiscing about the sweet endearments of the hue - (“Purple was beautiful and it deserved to be loved. It was a blend of cool and warm, sunburn and frostbite, and it could go anywhere, and say anything. When seen beside light, summerfresh green, it became sweetness, a dripping grape popsicle in a tiny tan hand. Together with flaming orange, it sang of laughter, sunsets, the color of smoke easing off new campfires. Paired with nightshade black, purple was a warning, a burst of something fearsome and uncontrolled”) to the grim shades of it; his girl’s bruising, assaulted skin, and the color flooding his sight after the blow to the head - ("All the vivid, lovely shades of my favorite color, arranged happily on my palette in the white-lavender, like scrubmint flowers, like bird's eye in the summertime. Reddish tyrian purple, the color of a wine stain on a sundress. Scheveningen violet, a lake at sunset, a warning of storms. Deep indigo, darker than a winter's night, with a voice like secret magic.”)
Oddly enough, I feel more unsettled and uneasy about Edward keeping this deep, dark secret from Bella than Jake's actual death. But I commend you for making this feel realistic in that sense.
| DebbieCDC chapter 1 . 10/3/2011
Wow, fight club - and damn what compelling descriptions of the fight, so intense. Great plays on the canon characters, with Jas & Em a gay couple. Loved the varying shades of purple as metaphors for the good and bad things in life.
Very different story, really liked it!

That was wicked awesome!
