| Logan chapter 6 . 3/4
It makes me so, so happy to know at least one person broke the trend I've seen of alternate Kyuubis. Millie was a terrific choice, and I'd like to thank you for reminding me that comic exists and for this delightful piece, which kept me entertained for the afternoon.
I confess a measure of disappointment that Naruto is never shown telling Jiraiya that he specifically copied the summoning technique from him. Otherwise, your writing was technically sound and any plotholes or out-of-character moments were at least beyond my ability to notice.
| Look what Jesus did chapter 6 . 3/3
Just have to say awesome fic man you outdid yourself with the extreme metaphysical filler and plot devices aka celestial language. It's an interesting concept for seals and you really fleshed out the idea behind it with some extreme philosophical prose which I felt made this fic an intellectually challenging story to get into
| Oh I am Slain chapter 6 . 3/3
Finally started reading Naruto fics. Lo and behold, noticed you had one. The combination of humor, awesomeness, fresh action moves, and logical takes on canon was a delight, thanks for sharing.
| Solidstach chapter 6 . 2/28
Awesome story. Has just enough crack to keep a smile on my face, but not enough to throw me away.
I especially like your dismissal of Jiraiya. Seriously, he is overused in fanfiction.

Kakashi didn't even mean to kill Rin. She was captured by a couple Kiri nin, and then they somehow (not really touched on in the series), managed to take Rin captive and make her into a Jinchuuriki for the Sanbi, Isobu. The reasoning was that she wouldn't know, and that the seal (which is best applies to young children) would go kaput in the middle of Konoha. Rin, using her medical training (that they didn't know she had) was able to stay awake and listen to the plan.
Kiri sends a few guys out with Rin since Kakashi is tracking them, and they prepare to fallback and let Kakashi have her. Kakashi aims a chidori at a mook, and Rin decides to skip the timer and commit suicide by lightning hand, killing her and Isobu, who would then have to be reformed. I admit i'm not sure how the timing works seeing as Yagura is the most current Jinchuuriki of Isobu, despite this being only some ten? or so years before the series. Obito sees Kakashi pull his chidori hand out of her heart, and goes nuts while Kakashi passes out. Obito kills all the others in the area but Kakashi. Why Kakashi doesn't ever talk about his miraculous survival of some half hundred enemy shinobi's after his fainting spell (all of them were impaled on wood jutsu no less), I don't know. Author Shenanigans at their best.
Anyways, I'm thinking Rin dies, Isobu reforms and they immediately catch him. Yagura is made into a Jinchuuriki a bit older than most, but still young enough to have that flexibility. Shortly after he must have had one hell of a meteoric rise through the ranks of mist. My personal theory is that the third Mizukage was the one who started he bloodline distrust and was already well into the Bloody Mist phase. Yagura would have most likely been related to him, and probably had some political power behind him from a mass group of people. I have no idea when Obito hits him (There isn't a specific event listed), but my belief is shortly before Yagura became a Kage by force or by deposing the older one politically (probably on a platform the bloodlines users supported no less), Obito hits him and makes him pull a 180 personality switch once he's at the top. He betrays his bloodline heavy supporters, and sends the Bloody Mist back into the thrall of it. Zabuza can't be much younger (or even older?) than Yagura, and since he was the last of the famous academy final, we know the bloody mist was going strong during the time of the third Mizukage. The Second is just too cool a guy to have supported that. Obito probably feared some sort of bloodlines in Kiri that had the chance to break Yagura free, and wiped them out as quick and efficiently as possible. Yagura supports Akatsuki with Kiri money, brings down some dangerous foes (probably), and destabilizes one of the great five hidden villages.
The only reason Yagura was supposedly so susceptible to the uber-genjutsu was somehow BECAUSE he was so in-tune with Isobu, being the first Jinchuuriki in recorded history (not that that really goes that far back for ninja) that could perfectly work with his Bijuu, like the prototype of Bee and later, Naruto. Obito probably would never get another chance to put Yagura under again if he got out (mind you, we are talking about a kage here, never mind the bijuu powers like his coral palm), Obito used the Kiri civil war he worked up to keep himself off the radar as he and Akatsuki worked in the shadows there. Remember, this was during war time, though the bloody mist lasted much longer and no-one even wanted to touch it with a ten foot pole. Yagura would have most likely finally been killed by Mie and her supporters some time before shippuden. The timing of Zabuza's defection and Haku's age growth means some six or so years pass after he attempts to kill Yagura. Mei manages it, Obito is probably furious, but can't exactly do anything about it. Isobu goes back to being dead (The turtles greatest weakness is that it's containers are squishy, despite it's defenses), and has to reform. We see it get caught almost literally immediately after it reformed.
Some bijuu don't catch a break.

You skip ahead far too much in this story. It's really annoying and makes all the scenes seem fragile and insignificant. If each section was more than 3 paragraphs this story may have held my interest better.
| Toa Kraka chapter 6 . 1/18
...Well, damn. I think I finally found a competitor for Time Braid's position as second-favorite fanfiction ever (behind Background Pony)! I find it extremely fascinating that this story manages to be very nearly as awesome as Time Braid in half the word-count, too.
Now I can get back to finishing Saruman of Many Devices...
| Toa Kraka chapter 2 . 1/18
So awesome! (Squee!) Time Braid has been my favorite fanfiction iever/i for years-it's exceptionally nice to see a well-done adaptation of its concepts.
Also, it's always interesting to see a writer writing S-rank stories in multiple fandoms.
| World Theory chapter 3 . 1/17
Hmm… Sakura's golden bloodline/heritage/whatever reminds me of something from Yu Yu Hakusho; that is: Shinobu Sensui's ability to use the Holy Aura or Divine Energy (something like that), which happens to be yellow/golden in color, as opposed to Spirit Energy's blue coloration, and Demonic Energy's red coloration. Actually, Sakura herself is starting to remind me of Sensui's own multiple personality thing. I still think Sakura's neat though. Are multiple personalities a prerequisite for Japanese demigods?
| World Theory chapter 2 . 1/16
Well… I feel compelled by satisfaction to say, that I love the nice long chapters you got going here, and that I like this particular … re-hashing (?) of the Naruto series. And yeah, I annoyed me a ton in that filler arc when the legendary lightning sword broke, originally. I was thinking that it must not have been all that great a weapon after all, if it could break that easily.
| Duncan0Idaho chapter 6 . 1/11
And I stil have no idea why Kakashi killed Rin. Either there was a good reason, like "she's a traitor", in which case it's completely bloody justified and Obito should understand it, or there wasn't a good reason and Kakashi's entire character does a hard skew turn to evil. Or it was some kind of illusion to convince Obito that the world of ninja is all darkness and death.)
Rin was turned onto the three tails host and let loose with a shitty seal inside Konha
| rioludoodle chapter 6 . 1/10
Bee's ridiculous rapping in this chapter was actually better than most of his stuff in canon. Nice.
| BlackRoseFire chapter 6 . 1/10
Awesome story. I really enjoyed it.
