|Reviews for Back Again? Siriusly?|
| Cateagle chapter 17 . 1/9/2012
-chuckle- Definitely not a good day for Severus Snape and likely to get worse. I wonder if he'll ever realize just how his downfall, despite Albus, was orchestrated and by whom? Then again, who expects a dead man to have such a reach? I rather enjoyed seeing all the students standing against him, though likely not all for the same reasons. Methinks both he and Albus are in for "interesting times" along the lines of that old curse.

When will Clayman rescue Harry?
So nice imagining Bumbles and Snivellous getting justice.
Hope Clayman takes Harry out of the UK and out of Bumble's plans

You know I think this is the first going back fic I've seen that's had it be Sirius who has gone back (well aside from one I started writing but haven't gotten far enough to post - and my main character is Hermione anyway...). I really like it so far and I find what you're doing with Kreacher interesting too.

I am really enjoying this story.

Niiice! Very nice! You have an amazingly complex story gooing on here, and normally I would be wondering "what about Harry? For surely Sirius would rescue him from as quickly as possible!" However this complex cast of characters seem to be having their stories all happen at tge same time within just a few days of each other... I'd be surprised if its past November 20th story time. Possibly earlier than that.
Do you write professionally? You should!

And now we see what Sirius has been up to. it's not bad enough that he tried to kill Snape once "just for existing" but now he's decided to ruin his life too? Is there no end to the things he's willing to go through to see the man suffer? So he joined what ended up being the losing side of a civil war - people do that all the time, and until Voldemort fell Sirius was on the "losing" side. It isn't like the "Light" side didn't kill, maim, interrogate, ect people who opposed them - they just have the benefit of sweeping it all under the rug because they WON. Snape isn't a nice guy, but neither is Sirius (or Peter, or Remus, or James) no matter how "loyal" he allegedly was. that loyalty and kindness was only extended to his friends - he treated his OWN BROTHER as worse than trash just because Regulus couldn't bring himself to rebel against his upbringing. He cursed his brother's name until the day he (Sirius) died, just because they had differing views. That's not the actions of a "good" person - it's the actions of a petty person. Snape and Lily had a disagreement, and Snape STILL did everything in his power to keep her safe. James trusted Sirius to put Harry first, but he put revenge first. Snape put Harry's safety first without being asked, and despite his own feelings for Harry. Sirius would have killed Peter for betraying James to save his own skin. Snape never held it against Lily for cutting ties with him and marrying James (who tormented him for years), instead blaming himself for what happened between them. In my opinion, Snape is the better person, because at least he sought to make amends for the bad things he'd done. Sirius never did, and he was never willing to just leave Snape alone, always picking a fight with him whenever he showed up. It annoys me to no end that people can hate Snape for the mistakes he made as a teenager who was fighting in a WAR, and not hate Sirius for what HE did as a teenager when he had less of reason for doing so than Snape did. Sirius would have killed him just for hell of it; Snape only killed as a soldier. And according to to canon, the only death he can be considered directly responsible for id Dumbledore's and that was a mercy killing at best and assisted suicide at worse. They've both done terrible things, but only Snape seems to show any remorse for his lack of judgement.

OK, Sirius finally emerge, even if in the disguise! That's good. Will he be hiding much longer? Will Wormtail be tortured to the brink of insanity, thrown to Azkaban, resqued only to be tortured some more and finally be eaten by swarm of flesh-eating slugs? And when, exactly, Harry will be rescued? I know, I know - in the chapters to go...we are waiting!

Severus is a little too trusting, and it isn't his fault that Dumbledore didn't inform the DMLE of the attacks. Bones and Bagnold can be angry if they want, but would they have really listened to Snape if he'd gone to them directly? Probably not. And Snape did what he felt he had to to survive - they can't fault him for that. Unlike them, Severus doesn't have the money and influence of an Ancient and Noble house, nor is he even moderately well off (not at this point in the timeline anyway). His options were to beat them or join them, and in the end he chose to do a bit of both to save himself. It doesn't matter WHY he spied, only that he did and that if he hadn't Voldemort would have certainly won.

This is going really well. I like the way you're building this world. I'm really curious to see how things develop from now on.
