Woman, you have given me square eyes...i could not put this story down, it was so amazing. I loved your ballsy, upfront but vunerable Bella, i could relate to her, and poor cluless Edward, typical teen boy lol...couldnt see what was going on in front of him. They were both wrong but im so glad they worked thru and got their hea...im off to read some more of your work xxx Ang

I don't think anything made me sadder than them breaking up than this story ending .
I saw this story many times but didn't choose to read it as I thought it would be your average high school fanfic but I'm really glad I gave it a chance but I really don't think the summary does the story justice.
Thank you for sharing this though and I loved that your story was so realistic.

Iris & abadkitty told me to bump this up my tbr list & i'm so glad i did!
I felt like I was back in school again, the giddiness of a first love & the first heartbreak too - I could feel all of it! So many times I wanted to knock their two heads together! But i'm glad they finally managed to work things out.
I love reading about Jacksonville & St Augustine as well. I hope to buy a one way ticket accross the pond & live there one day so reading about them moving there put a smile on my face!
Great story - again! Thank you for sharing

You're an amazing writer. I've enjoyed reading two if your stories over the Christmas/New Years holiday. Both were stellar. Thank you.

Prom. I went to mine married, 5 months pregnant...as a spectator. I'd already had my big day with my wedding. I remember Cobain' s suicide well. It was pretty shocking to the grunge scene.

Whew! I agree with the sex thing. I can't write under-18 lemons. I've tried, and had to regroup and change ages. Even my current WIP is the story of how my hubby and I got together in the late 80s, when we were sixteen, but I had the change our ages to eighteen. Weird "mama of a post-teenage daughter" vibes took over, and the funny thing is there ARE no lemons in the main story. Only in the unwritten epilogue. Just making out, language and drinking/pot smoking. Love this story. Hate to see it end.

Hi There! Don't even know if you are still getting comments from this story. Hope so. I normally don't read HS fics and have never read a fic that has any kind of drug use. Not judging - just not my thing. However, your story was glowingly rec'd over at ADF (the fic diving cf, I think) so I decided to give it a try.
I'm so glad I did. What an amazing story. I laughed, cried, cringed, got pissed off, and just loved all your characters and the story as well. I don't really know anyone who came of age in the 1990s, so this was mostly new for me. Loved all the music!
Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talent - I'm going to go back and read the EPOV outtakes now.
Love this story! xoxo

Awww. Slow and steady wins the race. I've never tried to be friends with an ex. Novel idea, but I think I'll pass. I'm too old to build bridges. Lol.

So did he do it with Angela or not? I'm a bit confused. Maybe I need to read over again. So funny. My younger sister has never drank, smoked, or done drugs of any type. I guess I was the oldest and black sheep. Lol. Riley and Bella... I have a hard time with either Edward or Bella screwing someone else. But I'll survive. Loving this. Shout outs on FB and Twitter.

Yep, Edward is right to be angry. Bella withdrew from the relationship first imo. She felt lost in his shuffle, and I know that it all felt real and important to her. He wasn't faultless, but he wasn't stepping out on her either. As I've said, my son was very athletic in school. Lettered in baseball for five years (made varsity in eighth grade) and played one year of jv basketball, ran cross country, and played on two traveling baseball teams. He had girlfriends, and relationships suffered due to his lack of time to date. My daughter plated basketball, tennis, and ran cross country, but gave it up her junior year for academics and boys. Lol. I think Edward is truly done...for now. As for Mike, yes, homosexuality was taboo in the eighties and early nineties. Especially for the males. Cannot imagine how Mike dealt with the negativity. Great chapter to build on.

That was unexpected for me. Not opposed to it, but I didn't see that sex coming (excuse the pun). So much these two need to say...

No juvy record here either. Somehow I managed to edge that bullet. I live in the same county I grew up in, so no chance of going to Wal-Mart, Kroger, or McDonald's without seeing someone I know. Small town of 30,000 or so people. Exes, well, I've actually managed not to run into many. Most moved away post high school. And hubby and I have been together since we were 16, so only one ex knows me in the biblical sense. Lol.

Nice shout out to SM with the motorcycle and Jake. I trust ya. I can't and won't ever write Jake as Bella' s positive love interest. Heck, I either make him evil, or omit him completely. Lol. B does have a lot of growing up to do...And as a mom, I'd kick her ass for throwing away that yearbook! Those puppies are expensive!

It's difficult to explain the concept of no cell phones, no internet or no social media to these Y2K kids. My oldest was a kitchen we first got dial up internet, and a preteen when My Space and Facebook came out. Youngest hasn't known any different. We really had no reference material for sexy times, except older friends, magazines, the occasional porn stash of a friend's older brother, and trial/error. Of course, I'm a bit older at 42, so I was even less worldly aware than you guys in your mid thirties.

My hubby didn't play sports, but my son was a five year player on the varsity baseball team. Yeah, that equals chic magnet. Love that Charlie isn't on the "need to know" list. Dad's don't handle that info well when their baby girl is involved.
