| Miso Muchi chapter 1 . 9/1/2011
It isn't favorable, but it is memorable. The writing of Snape lacked his silky quality, if that makes sense.

i just (finally!) saw the movie tonight, and i wanted to tell you that, if not for the fact that i completely bawled myself out earlier( i was going pretty strong from the beginning), i would definitely be crying right now. this is a very touching, sad, haunting, beautiful story. you have a couple reoccurring typos or what have you, but the actual story is perfect-i so wish severus could have raised harry... things could have ended up so differently. in any event, thank you for this story.

As much as I enjoyed reading this, I feel like it is quite a bit more far-fetched than I was expecting. The whole point of the Pensieve memories, in the book and in the movie, was that Snape never did learn to care for Harry. When Dumbledore asks him if he has after expressing concern for Harry being a 'pig for slaughter', he conjures his doe Patronus. Dumbledore asks him if he still loves Lily after all this time, and he says 'Always'. It is Lily that he has and always will love, not Harry. I know it's fan fiction, but I do believe in believability and credibility. I felt like there needed to be more build-up to something so big. Especially since it seemed as though in Snape's journal, he hinted that he wanted to take Harry in to protect him. That would NEVER have happened, sorry to say. Again, I realize it is fan fiction, but once again, it's got to be a bit more believable. And perhaps proofread a bit more thoroughly. You've got quite a few mistakes, date-wise and in terms of your spelling/grammar.

Wow, Alisha! I really really like this . I was moved to tears (especially when Harry saw Molly shaking over the sink of dishes). Beautifully done, my friend. I do indeed believe that Snape grew to love Harry as more than just "Lilly's son". *cries* We really gotta go see DHp2 again, seriously. Great job on this, my friend! :D

You've got the basic essence of Snape's feelings and background, towards Harry. You've got all of it most correctly. As time went on, you can see, in Snape, that there was 'something' in him that liked or 'sided' with Harry. Good job at writing all of his feelings. You're a good writer. Keep up the good work, please. Tom
