| Meggin Lane chapter 9 . 8/1/2012
Yep, a good scalp massage will do that to ya! (LOL) Ye gads you've got my own head itching now!
| Meggin Lane chapter 8 . 8/1/2012
I have a close relative who has been through this a couple of times. ( though thankfully not as dramatically and as painfully as Dean- hehe)
But the pride in accomplishment was no less expansive when he proudly showed off what he'd "produced"
Loved the closeness between the brothers as Dean just randomly announces to Sam that his pee is a funny color- while his brother is drinking apple juice.
Favorite lines:determined to get to the truth, even if he had to waterboard it out of his brother.
the sound of Dean's pained groaning which Sam insisted was actually whimpering despite the fact that Dean angrily denied he was even capable of making such a sound.
Sam couldn't quite rationalise what it was he was holding; no bigger than an apple pip, dark brown and jagged; it felt slightly damp.
It could only happen to Dean (LOL)
| Meggin Lane chapter 7 . 8/1/2012
Make a gal hold her breath why doncha? You did have me worried, but so glad you didn't let the bad side win.
Sam sits vigils like a pro and that plus the heart tugging image of vulnerable Dean made this one awesome in its scary own way.
| Meggin Lane chapter 6 . 8/1/2012
Good God I could relate to this one. As a long time migraine sufferer myself I appreciated how accurate you portrayed Dean's symptoms ( I hope you don't know them personally yourself either) You were right about bright light making it worse and how heat in the lower back does help alleviate the pain.
Poor Dean nothing is worse than when that first wave of nausea hits and you feel as if the top of head is gonna explode.
It was a great example of how the brothers pay close attention to each other when Sam reflected back over Dean's previous symptoms and berated himself for not picking up on the budding migraine sooner. Their survival depends on them watching each others backs and noting when ever one of them is not battle ready due to illness or injury. But poor Sam has to contend with his brothers famous understatement of any health issue.
Thus the perfect title choice " It's just..." (LOL)
| Meggin Lane chapter 5 . 8/1/2012
Perfection! That's what this was...Purrrrfection (LOL)
Favorite lines:Sam decanted Dean into the room's first bed
fluent in Dean-mumbleze,
And great "garble" it's not easy to write broken speech and have it readily understood while still letting the mind hear the sound of "mumbleze- hehe.
Source of thermometer vet truck (LOL) "PHUT!"
| Meggin Lane chapter 4 . 8/1/2012
Dean uses his body like a battering ram and Sam always has to put the pieces back together. And no matter how many times they've dance this dance before Dean's stubbornness to ask for immediate help just prolongs the inevitable.
This was a great illustration of the yin and yang quality of their brotherly bond. -hehe.
| Meggin Lane chapter 3 . 8/1/2012
This one was a riot! I love the way you've got their personalities down. Dean for his refusal to eat better and thus avoid the leg cramps and Sam for his patience and strong willed diligence to "Dean Whisper" his bucking brother until he can massage the knot in his leg into submission. (LOL)
| Meggin Lane chapter 2 . 8/1/2012
It's good to see that Sam has learned some tricks to help his stubborn brother. I had a feeling that the big brave Dean Winchester didn't like needles (LOL)
| Meggin Lane chapter 1 . 8/1/2012
I'm a big fan of Hurt/comfort and of Sam taking care of Dean. But the subject of premeditated injury to that pretty face of Dean's really makes my blood boil.
But as you know a good writer needs to be able to evoke emotions. So I'd say you did a great job coz now I want to hunt down those *&%#$ *&$! and leave nothing left of them but tiny scraps for defiling Dean's god like features so. (LOL)
| OpheliacAngel chapter 9 . 8/1/2012
Lol, this was perfect. A great idea and an even better ending. Keep them coming :)
| Bard15 chapter 8 . 8/1/2012
Ah...as painful as a kidney stone is (having had first hand experience)...Dean suffering through one was hilariious in the telling...they say it's the closest a man can get to the pain of childbirth...poor Dean...
...after myself giving birth and having a kidney stone-I'd chose childbirth over a stone anyday...
| SupernaturallyEgocentric chapter 9 . 8/1/2012
LOL, great story!
| masondixon chapter 9 . 8/1/2012
"Sam manfully fought the urge to rip it off the wall and brain both Dean and his lodgers with it."
"Sam was on a mission and he wasn't letting up until Dean's head was a bug-free zone."
And the ending?
(I would have gladly shampooed Dean's hair no problem!)
| emebalia chapter 9 . 8/1/2012
Fleas are no fun but a head massage can be very pleasant and relaxing.
| OpheliacAngel chapter 8 . 5/16/2012
Wow, I can't feel sorry for Dean... or Sam enough.
Can't wait for the next :)
