| CeCe Away chapter 2 . 8/8/2011
It's great when supernatural legends can actually help the boys out and it's always Sam who is willing to seek them out to get help.

I loved this piece of imagery: "...we've been camped out in the dark side of gray most of our lives." I don't agree with Dean's assessment here, but I absolutely agree that this is how Dean sees his and Sammy's lot in life, so great job at keeping Dean in character.
Dean's response to the rowan wood-"...why do I need the Harry Potter prop?"- cracked me up and is such a Dean thing to say! I could easily hear this showing up in a TV ep.
The banter between the brothers in the section starting with "Dean. It's time." was spot on Winchester brothers. :) Excellent way to show them as individuals and their relationship to each other and also demonstranting Sam's understanding of his brother by decoding Dean's words and mannerisms since Dean has a tendency to hide behind his bravado.
Thanks for including the legend at the end of the story. I'm always interested in knowing where an author's inpsiration comes from. I think the blending of the two legends, the Pechuen and the Witch of the West-mere-land, was wonderful, unexpected and completely believable since the setting is the United States.
Love your writing style as well as the story idea.

I liked how you began Chapter one in the middle of the story and then flashed back to show how Sam and Dean got to the point at the beginning of the story. I also liked the Peuchen. When it sprouted wings, I thought it might be a miniature dragon. :) Your Sam and Dean are in character as well.

Simply lovely:-) As always with your stories, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I loved the way you explored Dean's issues of self-worth and I loved the fact that the cure involved kissing!:-D Once again, well done for the great research - I always find that I learn something new and interesting when I read your stories. Great job - this was a fantastic read!

That was an awesome story!
I have not had time to read it until today and I am glad I saved it. Had a crappy day at work and a bad interview for a new job so this made my day brighter!
Oh...creepy snake by the way. Gave me the willies!
Great job on your Sam and Dean. I could see this as an episode :-) can't wait for September now :-)
Thanks again for all your hard work! I totally enjoyed this story!

Love you scullspeare. I've been hunting a good H/C dean's story then you gave me one. Thanks a lot.
That was as always wonderful. No one can write an SPN fic like you do.
I really love how you describe the scene when the witch appeared. It was so beautifully made. how the water turn into her dress, that kept me in awe.
Hope there will be more from you soon, thank u ;)

Trust Dean to get cured by snogging the hot chick! Hehe!
I would like to think that she would consider Sam worthy of saving but I have a nasty feeling she'd say no, considering his future (S4) actions, which is a little unfair. He's not the only one who screwed up, after all.
Cheers hon. Lovely story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tale, from the first word to the last! You have a fascinating way of reworking lore into your work, creating wonderful casefics with plenty for us readers to sink our teeth into.
I loved how Sam and geeky ways shone through, how he knew all about the witch but only chose to tell Dean selected pieces which fits Sam's character perfectly, doing everything in his power to help his brother, even finding a hot naked witch!
I think you worked in Dean being a worthy Knight perfectly, because while Sam might know its true Dean's self image has always troubled him and I think you did a wonderful job exploring that issue here.
I read the the poem and I loved how you plucked themes from it; the Rowan shield, the goldenrod, the witch's appearance and the kisses but still managed to give it your personal touches with the descriptions of the marshland etc.
While I've never come across this poem before it's clearly set in my home turf, I live a few miles from lake Ullswater and there is a pass called Kirkstone Pass which takes you to Ambleside - so this was especially fascinating for me - it's a small world I guess!
Well I think we're all very lucky that stumbled across this lore, it's a delightful fic so thanks so much for sharing! Good luck with your next project, keep in touch and take care, Abbi

This was a very beautiful little story, thank you! I fell in love with the witch myself. Also, you nailed the characters perfectly - your Dean and Sam are on the spot!

Awesome fic! Just really awesome. Everything I like. :D
The legend is amazing and very cool. Love what you did with it, too. Thanks for posting the whole thing and not making us wait. :D
Very nicely done. :)

What a lovely story.
I especially liked how Dean and Sam used the fact that the creature was found in Chilean lore to find a medicine woman from Chile.
My late husband loved folk songs and actually had one of the witch of the westmoreland songs for years until the tape broke.
Please continue to write for us.
