Reviews for Sands of Destiny
Jasminny chapter 10 . 3/7/2022
Awwww Peter. The "this isn't a charity table" from the Slytherin girl geeked me
Jasminny chapter 9 . 3/7/2022
Regulus is intriguing - I don't get him but I don't think I'm meant to haha. I love how happy Hermione is to see Severus and how his joy at seeing her warmed her heart. Bless her soul
Jasminny chapter 8 . 3/7/2022
Ooh you really know how to write a (hint of a) reveal :) I love how much the house elves wanted to help find 'master Sirius' adorable. I love that you planned for the scar so that it could be used in situations like this. Brilliant
Jasminny chapter 7 . 3/7/2022
Dang what's with these Death Eaters. Scabior's an interesting fella. I love the idea that James is such a dork but tries to hide it to make himself seem cooler at school and that's why Hermione doesn't see the dorky James when they're at Hogwarts. Poor Sirius...
Jasminny chapter 6 . 3/7/2022
OKAY rude haha but I don't think Remus can know this early on so I get it. I love the friendship that's budding between Remus and Hermione. I love Sirius's "I think someone's told me that before" hinting to the initial conversation he had with Hermione.

Something I haven't mentioned yet - I love the long chapters and the fact that you've already told us that she can't go back to her time. It's nice to know that upfront so thank you!
Jasminny chapter 5 . 3/6/2022
OH my gosh that ending. I love that you're including Regulus and Severus and all the dynamics between the people of this era. A short review because I have to know what's next!
Jasminny chapter 4 . 3/6/2022
I feel like Hermione's reaction to blowing part of her cover by knowing about Remus is very valid. If she had waited a month or two and then she "found out" then it would be more realistic since Remus keeps getting sick around the full moon haha but I guess she couldn't since the attack happened this first month she knows them.

I can't remember when the marauders became animagi but I feel like fifth year feels so late. Poor Remus...having to encounter so many transformations alone

For the RoR, I thought that only one person could be in it at a time (i.e. why Harry had to ask Ginny to get out of the Room to search for the diadem) or else it wouldn't change so the broom closets seemed incorrect canon-wise but did make me chuckle.

Lastly, I'm a little afraid of what's going to happen with Lily/Severus. I can't imagine a world where Hermione doesn't finagle things so that her best friend is born. I think James/Lily will get together but this chapter has me WORRIED haha
Jasminny chapter 3 . 3/6/2022
ooh this chapter soothed my soul haha. I love a good angsty scene and loved Hermione putting James/Sirius in their place. I love that she is able to separate the future-betraying-Peter with a fifteen year old Peter (still hate him but I get that he hasn't made those decisions yet even if he's capable of them). I love the budding friendship between Hermione and Severus. I love the tension between Hermione and James/Sirius. I love the little chat that Sirius and Hermione had.

I loved reading all of Hermione's internal monologues and all the subtle little observations various characters have been making. Whew you fit a lot of good things in this chapter that I adored
Jasminny chapter 2 . 3/6/2022
ooh you didn't disappoint with this meeting haha. I feel like the attention on the firm handshake might be one of the clues to Sirius that he met Hermione before. I love that you had them meet before she ended up in the "right" time of 1975 and that he saw her disappear. I feel like it makes sense for Sirius to not say the year when she asks him the date but I can't really think of how she would have asked to get the year unless maybe she asked for the full date from the get-go, maybe?

I love the idea of her being adopted into James' family. Makes it easier for her to get closer to the Marauders/the Potters. And I LOVE this idea of "time figuring out a story for her" because she still has to figure out answers to questions people ask but she has a "real" back story too.

I'm curious why she has to start in their fifth year when she was already in her sixth year in the last chapter. Maybe to stop a certain friendship blow out that happens by the lake in the Marauders' fifth year? I'm curious how this is going to play out!
Jasminny chapter 1 . 3/6/2022
AHH, okay that ending was genius - I'm curious what time Dumbledore wanted her to go to vs. where she ends up (I have a feeling I know the latter hah). At first, I felt myself going "let's go to the past already!" because I just love reading the scene where Hermione meets the Marauders in the past in fics. But as I read, I love the background that you set up. I like the idea of the Sands of Destiny (since, in canon, time turners only allow what's already been done to be done and it doesn't make sense as a past-changing device) and how it differs. I also like the idea that Dumbledore HAD to die (in canon) because this Dumbledore jumped to the future. Excited to read more!

Why doesnt she brew the wolfbane potion... it doesnt exist yet and it would be massive help to remus
xxbluemoonyy chapter 17 . 12/31/2021
awwwwww Hermione
AvidReader1997 chapter 3 . 12/17/2021
Eeeekkkkk! I love this! I love how she gets there before anyone is too deep into whatever pushes them into what they are in the future. I’m loving this Severus! He’s still innocent yet himself. I always felt like him and Hermione would have been good friends if they were the same age!
