hawkswench chapter 5 . 6/22/2018
oh I can't believe that you stopped writing after writing 22 chapters. Last update was 4 yrs ago. I hate reading abandoned stories but this is too good to stop.
hawkswench chapter 4 . 6/22/2018
LOL Loved this chapter.

Sorry I'm a little late on the book bus, and you might be dead, but I still felt the need to review. I love the story and hope that I can see more within my lifetime. I also have the strange urge to make a "Sorry I Decapitated Your Dragon" Hallmark card.
Monster King chapter 22 . 6/6/2018
Great story I really liked it a shame that you gave up on it.
BookWorm9892 chapter 22 . 5/18/2018
I enjoyed reading this fanfic an can't wait to see what Harry and Hermione get up too next so please continue writing. :)
missgsmith51 chapter 20 . 5/14/2018
That was certainly the most exciting second task I can ever remember reading, and I've read dozens. I'm growing very disappointed that there are only two chapters remaining. Is there a chance at all that you will finish this tale? I certainly hope so.
missgsmith51 chapter 19 . 5/14/2018
Leave it to the Weasleys and Malfoy to start a brouhaha of epic proportions. I suppose Harry will wind up in Azkaban. If so, I hope Hermione will be safe, because if she is left at the mercy of the rest of Hogwarts, she's not long for this world. I do hope Tonks and Kingsley can introduce some common sense into this mess.
missgsmith51 chapter 15 . 5/14/2018
Submarine races? Hmmm. That sounds suspiciously 1960-ish. I guess your more sophisticated than usual syntax and vocabulary should have tipped me off. Also, Harry seems just as capable of verbal jousting as our resident bookworm. While he can be a tad violent at times, it is not without provocation. Intelligent Harry is definitely a breath of fresh air and far more interesting than a Harry who is Ron's intellectual equal. I'm also pleased to see that Ron is being appropriately bashed. Please keep up the good work.
missgsmith51 chapter 11 . 5/14/2018
A/N: "Jeez! Vicky Krum is almost as bad as Hagrid with the spell check!" Wait until the next task, when you have to do Fleur and Gabrielle.

I wondered whether Victor would be a nice guy or a jerk. It seems to be a toss-up these days. Here, he seems to have started out as a jerk, but he is apparently capable of learning a lesson. Let's hope it sticks.

I'm surprised Harry got away without a major detention. Interesting that none of the three squealed to the faculty. Rather, they kept their business among the three of them. Can you imagine if it had been Malfoy? Yeah, I don't want to, either.
missgsmith51 chapter 8 . 5/14/2018
I wonder if the Ministry has to reimburse the Dragon preserve for the cost of one Hungarian Horntail. They should. It might teach them not to hold such stupid and costly debacles in the future.

I keep waiting for the boom to lower on Harry for beating up Ron and the Flannigan idiot. Surely there will be some fallout, as I can't imagine Molly keeping her yap shut when she hears the news. I don't know about the other idiot.

Amelia needs to have a talk with her niece. If I were Hermione, I think I might drop a note to Amelia enlightening her as to her niece's despicable behavior toward Harry, who is already suffering enough from being railroaded into the TWT against his will. Amelia should be brought in anyway, as she might figure out Moody's little game before anyone else, being the only competent ministry worker I can think of at the moment.
missgsmith51 chapter 6 . 5/14/2018
Remus was thoughtful. "You don't have to slay it, just avoid it. Getting the egg would be daunting, but not impossible. What's needed is a plan."

When was Harry informed about the egg? I don't remember him finding out that detail until just before the task, in the tent. Of course, I may be suffering from fanfic contamination, too. I will say I don't think the Dragon handlers are going to be too happy if Harry makes a Dragon "go boom" ... like with some sort of automatic weapon. Although that sort of thing might come in handy in the Little Hangleton Graveyard, once the DEs arrive. Just a thought ...

I definitely hope Harry and Hermione continue to operate in their "naughty, rebellious teenager" mode. The Ministry officials are pictures of ineptitude, and seeing them get their comeuppance from rude, potty-mouthed Harry who uses the rules to bully them is pretty amusing. I normally don't like the bad language, but it is completely in character here. It helps to illustrate just how frustrated our normally polite boy-hero really is. (Honestly, I wish Flitwick and the Goblins would get involved, since they love to thumb their noses at Dumbledore and the Ministry by helping Harry.)

I love the idea of Purebloods being Obliviated of any remembrance of pain connected with an injury as the cause for repeating the stupid behavior and comments that caused said pain and injury in the first place.
missgsmith51 chapter 1 . 5/14/2018
One thing I've never understood about this stupid tournament: Why would RESPONSIBLE (key word here) headmasters even allow their students near a contest whose contract could cost their magic if something prevented them from competing? This makes absolutely no sense to me. That Dumbledore - the man who CLAIMS to be so concerned with Harry's safety - could not only allow all of the security risks that the TWT brings, but also agree to that ridiculous contract says a lot about the illustrious Headmaster ... and none of it is positive.

Face it. Dumbledore is either careless, because he didn't read the contract before agreeing to it; he's senile for assuming something like that is appropriate for kids who are still in school, regardless of their ages; or he has a more sinister reason for reviving a long-dead contest with a deadly condition attached to participation. Like I said ... none of those options inspires faith in Dumbledore. If he isn't careless or senile, then he is once again using Harry to bait a trap for Voldemort without concern for Harry's physical or emotional state.

Dumbledore shows himself to be a brutally callous Headmaster in the way he allows Harry to be mistreated and insulted without making any attempt to intervene or mitigate the situation. The way Dumbledore treats Harry is despicable, IMO. (And as we all know, this year is just a warmup for ... The Year of the Toad.) We know Dumbledore has no clue about emotional health and psychological distress after how he has "handled" Harry after each crisis. The man is a menace and has no business in a school. If what has happened to Harry since 1991 had happened to a Malfoy, a Longbottom, or any Wizarding kid with parents, the DMLE would have been all over that school until the problems were resolved. Sadly, all Harry has is Dumbledore ... and he seems to be working on getting Harry killed.

Sorry for the rant. It's just how I feel.
