| Meridiean chapter 7 . 10/16/2022 I've read this story a dozen times and one of the themes that keeps bringing me back to it is that people can be capable regardless of their perceived power. Like with Nat being smart and aware enough of her surroundings to EFFECTIVELY use kitchen implements on Powerful People threatening her family. I love the common sense approach to so many things in this story and how just because someone is A GIRL (or A WOMAN) does not in any way mean that she is weaker - her strengths may just "bubble and boil" in other areas...like having great aim with barbecue tools, lol. I wish you'd had time/inspiration to write a dozen more stories along the lines of this one! |
