Reviews for The Paths Diverge |

![]() ![]() Hansel and Gretel immediately comes to mind, sure Gretel saves Hansel from the witch, but only after Hansel was proactive about saving them both in the forest the first time. Peter and the Wolf doesn't have a female character nor a magical character at all to my knowledge, but I think it still fits in the fairy tale category, as does the Jabberwocky despite being fair more modern. Jack from Jack in the bean stalk may have been given the magic beans to kick off the tale, but he solves the giant largely on his own (the *Disney* version changes this to have the Harp give him step by step directions). |
![]() ![]() ![]() BEAUTIFUL STORY DEFINITELY WOULD REREAD |
![]() ![]() Inserting review to cheer author |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hey, I really enjoyed the first two chapters so far... but what made me fall in love with your story without even reading most of it was your message at the end of this chapter! I suspect I'm really going to enjoy this weekend! :D |
![]() ![]() If I remember right, Dumbledore wasn't Chief Warlock yet... But that doesn't MATTER, because he had so much political power he got Snape off without a trial too. Sirius would have been EASY. And Sirius was a core member of the order. You'd think he would want more information to come out, like at a trial. My headcanon was that Dumbledore lied to himself about Sirius' guilt, and avoided anything that might dislodge that lie, because it was so much more convenient that Harry grow up desperate for any scrap of love. Dumbledore probably tries to be a good person, but his default responses are still Grindelwald's. |
![]() ![]() I like Arthur, but yeah. This is exactoy what would have happened. And don't forget how the Weasleys disown squibs just like all the other purebloods seem to. The accountant they "don't talk about." I might not like J.K. Rowling as a person, but she really knew how to subtly show that things were wrong behind the scenes, even when Harry was still oblivious to it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hey now, that's not fair! At least Jar jar never tried to mindwipe two children and leave another to their inevitable death! |
![]() ![]() ![]() My own child has always had a spectacular vocabulary because he has picked it up from me. So yes a child would and could use amazing vocabulary. Children are little sponges and soak up what is given to them. |
![]() ![]() ![]() a bit heavy on the bashing, but only a little and it's rather amusing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I believe |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is a case of telling rather than showing. Doesn’t make for an interesting story. Goodbye. |
![]() ![]() Don't know why it's described as "middle of winter" when the beginning of October is still firmly within autumn season. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Une seule critique : c'est trop court, bien trop court... Les fous rires sont tellement libérateurs ! Merci encore |
![]() ![]() ![]() Je ne dirais pas que cette histoire craint, ni que tu ne devrais plus écrire. Au contraire ! je suis en train de rigoler toute seule en la lisant et ça fait un bien fou ! Continue |
![]() ![]() Honestly, it seems more like a summary of a story than a story itself, otherwise this has been entertaining to read |
