| Guest chapter 3 . 2/15
Ah, makes much more sense after I read this chapter! Great story!
| Guest chapter 2 . 2/15
Why was Hermione such a shrew to Ron? She thinks he's supposed to sit there and not get upset that slughorn doesn't know his name? Kind of snotty of her.

This was a well written story. Simply brilliant. Sad to see it's ends. Keep writing, eh. Gracie.
| Aronim chapter 3 . 2/15/2014
That was a fun read. Adorable, somehow, despite the story going into decidedly different territory than adorable right at the end. Fun all the way though.

This story is fantastic. I've read a few AU versions of Slughorn's party, but this is by far the best written and most realistic. You have the characters down perfectly, especially their interactions. I find some authors are good at getting in Ron and Hermione's heads, but they don't always capture the dialogue between the two as well. This is perfection. You don't resort to fluff and you don't have Ron turn into this romantic hero who always says the right things. Just like in canon, you set him up to say something perfect and romantic and he trips over his own feet. Alternatively, I love that Hermione gets Ron two books for Christmas. The essential nature of their relationship- that they're incapable of acting outside of their own natures, despite their desperation to be together- is something you write perfectly.

*melts down to liquid*
This. was. fantastic.
I am SO glad I found it!
/Ron perked up; that almost sounded like they had a secret together.
I LOVE this, and once again, such a wonderfully Ron thing for him to think about! Having a secret with her would be something they'd share exclusively, which, in any way he can imagine it, is a completely fantastic prospect!
/"It means…it means that this is…out of the ordinary."
OH. Hermione, you wonderfully sly girl! This is great. I love that they're both all nervous and trying to dance around really saying anything at all. I think that's exactly how it would be :)
/It seemed it was forbidden to say anything in an uncomplicated and direct manner, because then it would all be over.
/"You wouldn't have to, he's already in the club," he said, his calm tone belying his frantically thumping heart. He was playing thick now, he supposed, but he couldn't help himself. This was starting to get bloody terrifying.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Especially that last line!
/It appeared that it hadn't necessarily been Luna, specifically, who'd made her jealous. It'd been some general sense of insecurity, a feeling that what he wanted was the opposite of her, which was mad.
AW! OH man. Yes. YES. This is Hermione, yes. And all of the next paragraph, about her insecurities in general. Perfect.
/but it never took much for him to hurtle back into the constant, dull background hum of self-doubt
Wonderful description of Ron!
/Thank goodness, at least, that the days of his voice breaking with vicious unpredictability were finally gone.
/Hermione gave a heavy sigh that was clearly designed to prevent any further temptations of mirth.
Hah! Love it.
/He wondered if he really knew her.
I don't know why, but this is absolutely beautiful.
/He wondered (again) if he was going to have more chances to know her better, because this was—
/"Brilliant," Ron declared thickly, nuzzling her neck, pressing his swollen, hot mouth against her throat.
Brilliant? Sure was!
Thank you, THANK YOU for making my day :)
