oh my god, i never thought i'd see the day, Answers! finally we know what's up, and furthermore, this story just became a shade of a lot darker, freaking brain chip mind control dark, but at least we finally know whats up, really cool how you linked the plot back, not in to the events of the show, but to the vary nature of the show itself. obviously teen titans was supposed to be slightly more simple then JLU, so no deep thoughtful arcs about weather or not the titans were on the side of the people, not justice lords fear as it were, i like how you tied it all up in a plausible and incredibly creepy way. at first i had question like 'how did the not notice the brain chips, how did Cyborg of all people not notice the brain chips?' then i realized that if the chips could have wired the titans brains so that if any of them ever discovered them they would over look it. but also, when the world ended Raven's body blew up, but i guess the g-men could have re chipped her reborn body. anyway great chapter, lots of revelation, now i really can't wait to see whats next. see you then

good chapter. i liked the explanation you gave as well.
would have guessed beastboy had a baldness fetish.
| Ruinshin chapter 17 . 2/15
A good chapter.. But I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on the most powerful. I would say he is the second, but even with his reproduction and his rapid evolution that being a virus would give him. More, it also assumes he can "choose" how he evolves consciously, when nothing indicates he understands that much about the subject.
But taking all of that out of the picture..
You have Raven. Her dimensional gate? Doesn't matter. She's shown extreme telepathic powers. She could walk down the street, severing arteries of anyone around her, and be halfway across the planet in the blink of an eye. If you want to go by the comics, she's destroyed an army of demons in a single spell, calmed down a New God in seconds through empathy. She's traveled dimensions that were unseeable by characters who were defined by being able to see all dimensions.
At most, you could say that Beast Boy and Raven are both extinction event players if they went off the deep end, but who is more dangerous? Who wins in a fight? With these two, it depends purely on who gets the first shot, and since Raven is capable of empathy and teleportation, unless he somehow gets a jump on her, I just don't see it.
Even at his best, even if he had the knowledge he needed to guide evolution through rapid reproduction, and even if he could make it deadly enough to overwhelm a body in seconds, there is the flip side of it potentially being a suicide move for him as well. We know he gets sick. He would either live the rest of his life as a virus, or the second he turns back the Virus infects him.
Raven has long been one of the strongest people in DC, even if she's reserved. And Garfield should be right there with her as far as threat level goes..
Because if they ever flipped their switches, the question isn't "will" they kill you. It's "how fast".

Dude! Your story is awesome. Your plot is great and you have everything going perfectly in your story.
You should be the one writing stories for DC's New 52, not these illiterate fools who are doing it.
| Jacob23 chapter 18 . 2/11
...That was like a bomb man...Best. Fanfic. Ever. Created. I'm speechless! This was incredibly genious, although I love DC, the New 52 suck. DC could learn a thing or two from you, well done my friend.
| BethyQuake chapter 18 . 2/9
Oh My Glob I've been waiting for this so long, why BeastBoy would betray the titans, why he would work with the titans arch enemy, why he would betray Raven. BUT finally THE EXPLANATION and a darn good one at that I mean...WOW it just makes so much sense anyway I hope you update soon :)

So BB likes his women bald, or is it just Raven.
| GarLogan676 chapter 18 . 2/8
I can totally dig this! Kinda want to see what the others will be like when the "reveal" happens. I also want to see if it extends outside of Jump too. Keep it up!
| CheeseJellyBean chapter 18 . 2/8
This is why you do so well on here. Take a logical problem/observation from the show, find a solution/reason behind it and integrate it into your story. Works fantastically and in my opinion is your biggest strength.
I felt the reunion between BB and Rae could have been more powerful though. Your plots are excellent, character interactions could be better.
Also, not sure about the bald thing :)
| Guywithafedora chapter 18 . 2/6
Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the phone!
Was the entire reason you wrote The Jokers Wild, Recovery, and Titanomachy simply for this purpose? To reveal that Deathstroke was not the actual antagonist we thought we was. If that is the case, then this is the best hero-villain switcheroo I've seen since Wicked.
Now this whole situation warrants a lot of questions. Does the entire Justice League have these things? If this is the case, then that raises even more questions. For example, how would they insert that into Martian Man Hunter without killing him?
If these devices were implanted into only the Titans, then does that mean that Titans North already has been implanted, or do they have yet to be implanted. And how would one go about inserting that thing into Superboy?
Another issue is how Death stroke discovered the whole scheme in the first place. One could hypothesize that he found out by discovering something was not quite right about his son, Jericho.
One more thing: If Death stroke knew about this conspiracy the whole time, why did he not remove the devices from Robin and/or Terra when he had them under his control?
Simply some food for thought, and possibly some good ideas for you to chew over.
