Ah. Surprised that Dumbles didn't force an Unbreakable Vow out of him.

Then again, there has to be a third person for that vow, and Dumbledore works best in such great light that it blinds everyone else around him.

A person has to wonder why Trelawney was interviewed in a known DE hangout and why Snape was not Obliviated. Oh, and why Dumbledore kept the Cloak that might have saved the Potters.

Yes, I always wondered if Albus thought of Severus as Tom personified, and enjoyed watching the Marauders nearly murder and torture him, because he wanted to do it to Tom.

Severus is far too honest with Dumbledore at this time.

And I kind of wonder who exactly is causing the pain in the Dark Mark; it seemed to start when Dumbledore showed up, didn't it.

I see Albus is still watching him every time he goes outside; sometimes I wonder if he's not using Mesi to monitor Snape while he's inside as well.

I can well imagine that Severus is practicing the deceit he'll need for the Dark on Albus here. And about time, we've all seen what happens when Snape tells the truth.

Then again, Snape has to be allowed to leave the castle when Voldemort calls.

Perhaps Snape will just keep on going.

I have never been a fan of truly-manipulative Dumbledore stories but somehow this one I couldn't stop reading. It really is a great one and I hope you -would- post the sequel
