Severus Snape is so endearing in this story. As someone who has narcissistic relatives, I think you have have done a good job writing an abusive, controlling narcissistic Dumbledore. My heart aches for Severus. I love how Severus has a cat, and the way he talks. And I love how he has meaningful dreams/altered states that meld with consensus reality and that are prophetic. I've had those myself and am still trying to wrap my head around those experiences, and it was pleasant to find this is a story too. The cruelty of Dumbledore in humiliating and degrading Severus and taking away his agency and liberty, gaslighting him and treating him like an animal – making him worse while claiming that what is being done is for his own good; in fact Dumbledore is the one causing the problems – through the methods of coercive psychiatry is something that I think is very well-written too. This story really sent shivers down my spine – incredibly well-written and convincing.

I think I will have to go read Caring and Loving Dumbledore stories for a bit now.

Oh, I hate this moment so much. I hate Albus here more than at any other present moments of the books - and this was painfully accurate. Loved it. I felt relieved in the end, and even happy. Wow, wrong.

Oh, wow! To get to the end. I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel. It's nice to see the ending, knowing that Severus finally left.
