"I can't take a Baby Behemoth like "Four Friends" without context; even if you're 99.9% sure they really meant "Four Fiends."" — Well, that was what was written for the third test question in chapter five, unless you meant the good guys. Might as well lampoon this fic as well as everyone else's, right?
Gimme that two and a half pages of editing, girls—I love that shit.
The "Silver Elite" reminds me of a porn movie from an FF7 fic. If this reference was unintentional, it's no less hilarious. Congratulations.
"Quefka had revealed his presence by pouncing on a sleeping Squall and setting fire to his bed. Kefka was most proud." — And he was thereafter a doting caretaker, I'm sure. Gotta foster them habits.
"However, they were saved by the sound of Squall taking down a fangirl that had managed to get up onto the second level." — I think the wording of this sentence is what makes it so amusing.
And dear God, please, PLEASE don't call it "bridal style." It's not. It's a cradle lift. That's a fangirl-ism I just can't abide, as rampant as or more rampant than the myriad errors found throughout any given fanfic.

The image of the Warrior of Light using a spear as a pointer makes me giggle. And I have to say . . . I didn't realize that what Kuja wears is actually a "throng."
Unfortunately, I'm failing to grasp why FF1, FF2, FF3, and FF5 are being elevated above the games that were presumably more popular or have better graphics. Especially since each successive game allows for a broader audience as people let go of the video-games-are-for-boys mindset, which game is superior to the others is a matter of personal opinion, and no one should be snorted at for playing and/or liking one over the rest. To imply that the other games are somehow less because they've had better press for one reason or another is . . . shallow? Immature? It should be a relief that Dissidia fangirls ARE inspired to play an FF game—ANY FF game—if they hadn't before. Nothing requires them to blow money on the entire franchise if they aren't interested in one or another.
And while obviously no one should write outside what they know—or at least should pretend research was done for it—at the same time the ignorance of playing Dissidia and then writing fanfics about characters one knows nothing about is an inherent hazard of this type of game. The numerous links between Dissidia and the rest of the franchise are ambiguous at best, so the only canon that REALLY needs to be adhered to is that of Dissidia itself. Going back to the original stories is a bonus, sure, but not a requirement, and while someone brave enough to do so will absolutely be able to fill out a fic marginally, to demand it is unreasonable because there's no way to be certain of any of the characters' places in their separate timelines, therefore including such information risks being inaccurate anyway.
I understand that some fangirl-bashing is to be expected in something like this, but to pick out this particular aspect as a "problem" of fangirls strikes me as being less a genuine issue and more a childish nitpick. Isn't it stupid enough that the individual fandoms stomp on each other? Why pitch Dissidia into that shit-throwing competition?

A "military-esq" schedule? Perhaps "military-esque" would be better, unless they're studying to be esquires, which I guess isn't entirely inappropriate if they're under the Warrior of Light's supervision.
Also, I assume you intentionally misspelled the Lunar baby behemoth's name that many times. Or I hope you did.
"First and foremost – Cecil is married, taken, tied down, game over!" — SHAME BE UPON YOU FOR SUCH AN IMPORTANT OMISSION! He also has a son, although I suppose that doesn't necessarily count since we can't be entirely certain of the point in the FF4 timeline from which Cecil came.
Mention of the Lamia Queen Incident WIN.
I didn't know they used pig intestine as a condom. Then again, I've never thought to study condoms. Anyway, I guess pig intestine as a condom isn't nearly as gross when you know that's what sausages and hotdogs are wrapped in. It's almost the same thing, really . . .
Something tells me Torri and Morriah are plants. Or atypical fangirls. Or maybe just upperclassmen. Dunno.

I actually came to like the Warrior of Light rather fast, to be honest, even though I sucked at playing as him at first (heck, maybe I still do). His lack of personality lends to him coming across as kind of a jerk, but it amuses me anyway; perhaps that's why I have a similar fondness for a handful of the bad guys as well. I find it funny that SquallGal finds him unpleasant, as many say the same of Squall.

"I mean, really, all Dissidia was was a game for fangirls who loved the men of Final Fantasy!" — Mmm . . . Okay, yeah. I can agree with that. Maybe (obviously) that wasn't the original idea, but that's what I was always sure it would turn into because of how *I* responded to the news of the game. Quite honestly, when I saw the trailer all that time ago I believe my first thought was "ZOMG! Zidane rendered in modern CGI! And he TALKS! MUST . . . BUY . . ." even though he was less a love interest and more a little brother—I always thought he and Garnet were cute. And then I found out how awesome the new arrangement of FF9's battle music was, which only made it better.
"Scattered Roses" isn't a bad title, really, although it's still a bit . . . contrived.
As for baby behemoths, well, I haven't bothered to attempt to read Dissidia fanfiction before now, so I'm late to the party, but I DO read fanfiction in various Final Fantasy sections, and while I don't have any references to offer because I don't waste time remembering crap stories, I can assure you that virtually any variation of Cloud's name will work ("Could" is my favorite—hooray for the Autocorrect feature!). Also, as I don't own a PS3 I don't own and haven't otherwise played FF13, but I see the nature phenomenon "lightning" misspelled as "lightening" so much I'm sure that's a safe guess as far as a name misspelling, too. Use them if you like, don't use them if you'd rather not.

I have a baby behemoth for you: Tiffa.
| Walrus Puncher chapter 6 . 9/13/2011
You like Alice in Wonderland, don't you? "Down the Plot Hole..." Lovely little reference. Anyhow, wonderful job, glad to see updates out of a marvelous author.

So nice to finally get back to reading some fanfiction again! I noticed your story on the site earlier, and I thought it looked like it was going to be pretty interesting and funny, and now that I've finally gotten a chance to read it, I can't say I was disappointed!
Some great moments of humour and so far the members of the Dissida cast that have appeared so far are decently in character, which is always a big thing for me. The Baby Behemoths are adorable, and the fangirls have had me laughing on several occasions.
Keep up the great work, and I'll be looking forward to the next chapter!
| Thaumaturgic Adversary chapter 6 . 9/11/2011
Wow, what a dramatic chapter! I'm glad Cecil is safe, and his plotters gone. But the lady Red Mage, what's gonna happen to her? :o And who is the Man in Black really? Perhaps a Black Mage or a Dark Knight?
Anyway, I spotted a Baby Behemoth in your fic, if this counts. It's "Duodeceim."
| Senshi Of Sadness chapter 6 . 9/11/2011
I think I'm becoming greedier... because I want more chapters and longer. XD
I liked the names of the fan-clubs. I know two of them are actual names of clubs, I'm not sure about the rest.
Yay, more baby behemoths!
Plot holes or black holes? Which are the worst?
Poor Lana, ignorance isn't always bliss, isn't it?
The Man in Black seems to be a potential villain-sue, be careful.
Oh, now a cliffhanger, what's going to happen to the Lady?
Good chapter, keep it up!
| Gothic-Prince-X chapter 6 . 9/11/2011

I just read this now. I love it already! Please, carry on! I'll look for Baby Behemoths, but I might not find many... I'd attend Love Thy Grammar, it sounds so much better than my English class. :) But I'll have to remember sunglasses. B)
