|Reviews for The Face That Launched a Leaky Rowboat?|
| Harry2 chapter 10 . 9/6/2011
Well, sometimes nature has to take its own route to help bring romance to a couple of people. And it was good to see Helen back again. Now, lets see what you have planned NEXT! *Breaks out Vampire Fangs*
| Harry2 chapter 9 . 9/6/2011
Its not often that Helen gives a compliment like this! Leslie should tke that to heart. And I hopoe that her plans for Ivy work out, for Ivy's sake
| Harry2 chapter 8 . 9/6/2011
I think that Leslie's remarks not only gave Janet something to think about, but Mr. Roarke as well! And when he is thinking when a fantasy is going on, it means something major.
| jtbwriter chapter 10 . 9/5/2011
That was great! I didn't even see the ending coming until I was reminded of Taro's heartache...and the way Ivy handled it showed some of what she learned stuck! Thanks for a very humorous yet thoughtful story! I look forward to the next "trip to the island"!:)
| PDXWiz chapter 10 . 9/5/2011
Time for Christian's birthday party! Hoo and woo!
Wow, fun times and great guests! Wonderful to see little Tia befriending Karina... Da twipwets are so qoot, da twipwets are so quut...
Taro is interested in Ivy? Ka-ching, ka-ching! The mole, and the scar, would never be anything as bad as being addicted to black lightning. He's a good guy, it's been long enough, I think he would be good for Ivy...hint hint AND she could continue her medical transcription work from FI...
Cool, been a while since we saw Kazuo and Grady. Guy power!
I find it very interesting that Grady, who is probably the most Americanized of Leslie's friend's husbands except for Brian, is as into soccer as Kazuo or Christian.
Hahahahahaha! Little Dawn is cute, and she's the right age to be friends with Cat. But, yeah, Cat is a princess, and so is her mommy, and um the one who married Errico's brother and oh yeah, Leslie and Karina and Susanna are princesses, too. (Princessi? LOL)
This party is going great. I love it!
Heheheh...Tobias' pile of rocks is funny. But even funnier, is Leslie's eavesdropping...
Very cool. Taro likes her for who she is and doesn't give a rat's hiney about her scar.
Hehehehehehe... Taro asked her out and she accepted!
Here...find some more of your son's rock collection...HAHAHAHAHAHAH! I pictured a huge surprised look on Christian's face...
Yay! Ivy's staying to get to know him better. Even if it doesn't work out, at least she will know that it CAN happen! Ivy is a success!
Wow. That was another great chapter. Another great story. More awesome fun with the triplets and Leslie's friends and their family. (Sometimes I think you've got more recurring people in the Leslieverse-whether on FI or in Arcolos or on LJ or elsewhere who are part of the big picture-than in 24th century Trek!
That is one humdinger of a cliffhanger... guess we'll see it in October? November? LOL...
And thanks for working in Helen and Paco. Great great stuff. Paco probably graduated from high school on the island, he must be more-or-less contemporary with the quads, I think.
Thanks for using my idea. :) Much appreciated. :)

Glad Ivy got out of the bungalow, would be nice to see her realize not everyone cars about a stupid scar.
| PDXWiz chapter 9 . 9/3/2011
Whoa, this REALLY has poor Helen depressed. I like her a lot (even if she goes for our boy Christian way too much, lol)
That's right, Ivy would freak out at the mention of a body switch...LOL
Wow, what a huge crowd! Roarke and Leslie and Christian and the triplets and Ivy and Janet and Helen... very cool, and Ivy is clearly having a wonderful time with the kids. Doubtless they have taken to her, too.
Yes, Helen, children can, and do, make a difference.
HAHAHAHAH! Ivy told Helen...to her face...!...that she made a mistake! ROFL
Now, that's a good idea. Not meeting people socially, just casual and everyday hanging out stuff.
Yes, Janet could use a spa day. She ALWAYS worries about Ivy...
Hooray! Ivy will do it.
Cool-Ivy loved the kids, and thinks they have manners. Imagine! Three-year-olds with manners! Too awesome!
That's right, Helen, you did do much more than you think.
And Leslie's totally right: Quiet people can be just as interesting. :)
Cool-Helen is very impressed with Christian's loyalty. Despite her attentions...he stayed completely loyal to Leslie.
Okay, Helen's gone, and she's happy. Rollins paid the pet owners and has a new employee. Very cool all around...
Yay! The party will be here soon... just not now, rats.
On to the next chapter! This one was grand... :)
| PDXWiz chapter 8 . 9/3/2011
Very good dialogue here between Janet and Roarke. Very good.
That was a great scene with Janet, Roarke, and Leslie after she showed up. Very good indeed... Correct, she still carries the emotional scar from the mole, AND from the physical scar of the surgery. So she's got a double whammy going against her here now.
OOO, fun with the triplets! Neat!
Cool, the Rollins fantasy as well...
This is a fascinating scene! Great dialogue...
Hmm, the cat is a possibility.
Nah, not the dog. And not the parakeet.
The tarantula is an interesting possibility.
That leaves the frog...
Oh, not the frog! LOL. Interesting job application strategy, I must admit.
Actually, I like that guy's style. I think that the senior Mr. Rollins would have liked it too.
But...while they will probably get Rollins-the-Younger to pony up the $5,000...they still have one more problem (other than why the tarantula seems to be trying to communicate):
WHERE IS LADY HELEN? I hate the idea that a blow to her ego of this magnitude made her run away back home. Maybe she found a boyfriend? Who knows?
I can't wait to see what's next. You did a great, great job in this chapter!
| Dreamer1985 chapter 8 . 9/2/2011
I like the frog owner's way of getting the job lol.
| Dreamer1985 chapter 7 . 9/2/2011
I sure hope she gets over her past, even if the others can't.
| PDXWiz chapter 7 . 9/1/2011
Interesting dialogue here...I hope Christian and Leslie don't have an argument... (both pairs of fingers crossed, both pairs of toes crossed, eyes crossed)
Uh-oh, he felt like a sex object? Well...since it was Helen...I'm not surprised. Although I worry a fight is about to happen...
Ah, a rare feat to embarrass Christian...well, I hope it defuses the problem! And yes, yes, he is undergoing a knee-jerk reaction to the public attention problem-even though it is just friends and family, not some stupid public event.
But it was great for him to invite Ivy and Janet OF HIS OWN ACCORD. A slight sign of loosening up... Leslie's a good influence on him, naturally.
Hehehehehe triplet scene!
Tobias went by himself? YAHOO! And washed his hands... whoa... wish my youngest was that good, and he's 8! rofl...
Karina's a cutie pie!
Oh, cool, nice that Haruko will get to visit her grandmother. I think that's great. You know...I wish everyone was as broad and open-minded as Haruko. I think that she was already this way before she met her friend, Nyah's daughter, and that merely reinforced everything. Too cool... She's my favorite of the kids of Leslie's generation, after the triplets, of course. She's even cooler that Gabby, Anna-Laura, and Magga! And you know I love them to pieces...
Ahh, good, sounds like the hair care work turned out well for Ivy. Next up is... what?
Clothes and makeup... hmmm... cool!
Cool, luau time and what does Ivy look like?
Oh, so that explains her disfigurement. No wonder! Um, stupid insurance company should have paid for the surgery-it could have been cancerous! Sheesh! Butt heads!
Christian actually likes talking to her, because despite her insecurities, she's a nice person who doesn't want anything from him except maybe a moment of his time and an autograph. She certainly isn't like Kurt's mom! LOL...
Dayum! Helen just can't keep her hands off of Christian... let's just hope nobody ever tries to pull a Paola on him!
Roarke to the rescue, yeah!
Damn, what jerks! Treat poor Ivy like crap...
Ride to rescue, Leslie! Ivy is a good person, and you are right, she is a friend of yours... Roarke, and you and Christian, are friends to those who need help. And that's ultimately what the island is all about. This island might be named Fantasy Island, but it could be called Helping Others Island. (But that sounds like a name which would generate attention from pirates and criminals...)
No, it's not that Roarke's foresight failed, or Helen's coaching failed. It's that not only is he helping Ivy, he's sticking it to that bunch of butt-headed morons she went to school with. Not to exact vengeance on them for her sake, but to teach them a lesson...which he tries to do for all of his guests. It's not just the fantasizers, it's everyone! Hopefully Christian and Leslie will come to understand that. He's not being bad at all, but he does have to resort to some highly unusual and seemingly cruel tactics to pull this off...
Yes, he admitted it! Well, it would have been pretty dang obvious before the end of the first season...maybe even the second pilot film...
I hope things are better for everyone after they sleep on it!
Great and fabulous chapter! More, please?
| Harry2 chapter 7 . 9/1/2011
This is one time that I have to agree with both Christian and Helen. While some of the events may have been arranged, for people to act like that is DISGUSTING! I say that Helen lit into them with what needed to be done! I hope that they learn from what Helen told them. If they don't they will suffer the consequences. Maybe end up serving Mestistopheles if they don't change their ways.
| Dreamer1985 chapter 6 . 9/1/2011
Leslie sighed heavily and tossed the magazine back onto the table in front of her. "I have a feeling this is going to be a very long day."
- I think so too-
| jtbwriter chapter 6 . 8/31/2011
Love it! Lady Helen has REALLY met her match-and I love Christian's reactions to both her and Ivy. What a story-thanks for the Wed treat! What next?:)
| PDXWiz chapter 6 . 8/31/2011
Ah, so we follow Leslie getting Christian...cool.
Heh, just like him, getting buried in a computer...
Oh. Yeah. Michiko is here...
Hmm. A lot tougher sell than I thought...obviously I fergot the depths of his distayste for the royally regal royale role.
Ah, Helen's here. Good.
Hmm. Christian's dislike of his role in this fantasy blinds him to Helen's obvious charms. Interesting...
Hahahahah! I love how Leslie doesn't want to be a princess. I would have loved to see her reaction in an episode...
Boy, he's really in uber-royalty mode... Dang, Leslie impressed Helen...totally cool! How amusing...
Maybe Christian can enjoy this after all... He might smile when in royalty mode, but he only grins when he relaxes...
Hmm, Christian actually invited them to his birthday? He wouldn't ordinarily do that, but she seems to have struck a chord in him. Maybe he recalls what it was like when the whole island forgot about him...except for Roarke.
Strange guy on the plane, eh? LOL
Cool that she at least feels willing to have Leslie around, but then Leslie is very friendly and while she is attractive, Helen's beauty probably terrifies Ivy.
HAHAHAHAHAH! Christian sort of tricked Helen? To get out of this hanging around... Yes, she really does need to watch what she says. That got her in so much trouble with Paris...lol
Yeah...it's really going to be a long day. Would have been longer for Christian...
Great chapter... I loved Christian's interactions with Helen. Clearly, as attractive as Helen is, she has nothing on Leslie; his head isn't turned by her at all. Of course, like I said, he was annoyed at the whole situation...
