What a beautiful ending to yet another amazing story.
Somehow, by covering the territory you did with this story, it managed to be both engagement and honeymoon and still completely unique and fresh.
The lights have impeccable timing, but their comments on it were very amusing, and I love the idea that Maria would go retrieve their clothes and stop to pray. The way she affirmed that he saved her just as much as she saved him was wonderful, and finishing with that beautiful song.

It was so beautiful; how obvious his love for her is, from telling her she's perfect to running the bath for her. I love that she asked him to stay, and washing each other and noticing the scars. It was rather interesting how Maria didn't even realise she had them, and Georg's response when she broke down was perfect.

The way she told him he had all of her, and then how he repeated it back to her, and then stood by the fire was beautiful. The nerves and the trust were both shown perfectly.
And such a hot, yet loving ending.

Talk about setting the mood.
Love the way you wrote the scene in the bathroom, showing everything she's worried about and how she dealt with it. I loved the sense of mystery about which nightgown she chose, because I feel like with the way it was written, each option was equally valid.
And the question to her captain, the final way she gathered her confidence was brilliant.

Love their teasing in the beginning, and the way he helped her with her dress and the dancing in the restaurant - simple, but oh so powerful.

LRaLB is such a beautiful one-shot and nringing it up here was a great way to show not only how much they love each other, but how much respect they have for each other as well. Georg's line about how his engagement with Elsa would never have worked, even if Maria hadn't been in the picture, was a great, unique touch.

So sweet and powerful.
The way her simple question about French words turned into the powerful story about Adele, which brought out Georg's regret, and Maria's reassurance, and the way that led to her final question and another reaffirmation of their love. Throw in the romantic mood of Paris and I just read another wonderful chapter.

Oh what a beautiful chapter.
Maria peeping into the bathroom was great; showing both her courage and her nerves. I love Georg clapping when she finished singing, and the line about her wishing she had another eight eyes to see everything was awesome.

Love Georg looking after his wife; Maria was definitely terrified, but I love how she knows enough to realise she isn't afraid of him. The way he reassured and explained everything to her was beautiful and unique as well.
His response when she said she didn't deserve him was wonderful.
| gothicbutterfly95 chapter 8 . 7/26/2016
So wonderful, with Georg carrying her across the threshold and then looking in the mirror and realising how beautiful she was. Marta asking to call her 'Mother', and Georg's closing line about it being past someone's bedtime.
Also the society ladies: love how they were referred to as simply 'Lime Green' and Royal Purple', 'a seed of fear had now been planted in her tree of emotions' - WOW! And Maria handled it wonderfully, getting the little ones out of the way and holding herself given the situation.

I adored every single word of this.
Their teasing introductions, which then led to him asking her name and her powerful reply, Max's impeccable timing, and Maria stammering when he entered. Little Marta catching the bouquet, and then more teasing and kissing and love in the carriage.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This was exquisite.
I love the way Maria leaves no doubt in anyone's mind what is going on between her and Georg, simply by walking up the aisle. The way the only words people could find to describe her were 'beautiful' and 'love was...well lovely and beautiful.
| gothicbutterfly95 chapter 5 . 7/25/2016
Beautiful. Just the final lines of each section.
Love how Georg pointed out that the boys looked beautiful as well; Kurt's reaction was awesome, as was Max's cheeky line.
The way Maria found her strength as the nuns helped her with the veil was gorgeous, and the the thought about how she would miss the Reverend Mother the most was very profound.
