Reviews for Chuck vs the Sound of Music |

![]() ![]() This final act was utter nonsense. The only person killed was Dan the Mole (it was obviously Shaw from the description in an earlier chapter)...who apparently went out of his way to *not* kill the three agents he easily ambushed. Shaw was waffling after Casey's speech (how would encryption software cause thousands of deaths, again? Was it because Fulcrum clearly has better agents?). Shaw never even made a move towards Casey's gun before Sarah executed him like the good little assassin Graham trained her to be. And why did Shaw have Chuck wired with a bomb and a dead man switch while he was interrogating him? Did he expect to be found? Did Shaw let Chuck keep his phone when he kidnapped him so he could be tracked? I loved the ending about Frost and Orion. Does that mean Sarah and Chuck also will eventually abandon their seven kids because they couldn't give up working for the CIA…to find the parents that started the cycle of abandoning their children? Or does Sarah go off on her own “undercover” to join Volkoff and eventually be corrupted by him like Frost was for 20 years? |
![]() ![]() I'm not sure why Sarah wasn't ordered to capture the mole for interrogation…rather than just killing the person on the spot. Maybe Sarah could drag the mole to the basement and torture them for a while see if they have any useful information before she slits their throat? And it would be cool if she executes the defenseless mole in front of the children so little Megan can get a taste of what a real spy does in the Chuck-verse where two wrongs do make a right. At least that would help her maintain discipline over the children going forward. Lol. I'm also curious why there aren't external cameras with motion sensors covering the entire perimeter of the house. Seems like a huge oversight for such an important “asset”. And how did Sarah have multiple adult relationships previous to Chuck…if her mantra as stated in this story (drummed into her by the CIA since her late teens) was to have no “attachments”? And if Sarah is experienced in relationships…shouldn't Beckman be talking to Chuck who has, per Lizzie, had only one relationship and a few dates as an adult? And that singular relationship was with a truly horrible person that Chuck thought was a good friend? And how does the director of the NSA have any say in how the CIA (Graham) treats their agents... especially Graham's "golden girl who didn't take prisoners"? None of this makes sense. But, awesome wedding though. |
![]() ![]() Ellie and Devon had seven children? When did they start having kids? When she and Devon were in residency at like 25-26 yo? Even then, as ridiculous as it is to start pumping out kids with the time constraints of becoming a board-certified MD,..with the oldest child now being 16 yo…Chuck would be in his middle 30s at this point, right? Does that mean Sarah is 10 years younger than Chuck? Or has Sarah been serving Graham's greater good for like 20 years…since she was coerced into the CIA as a teenager? Or is everything here a retcon? |
![]() ![]() Umm…Is Casey working for Fulcrum? He says that “screwups” like agents on surveillance staring at a woman in a bikini while an intruder enters the house of the best cryptographic asset in the US IC happen all the time? No wonder Fulcrum is winning, if Casey is more suspicious of Sarah actually caring about the people she's protecting than he is angry that agents under his command on surveillance don't seem to give a shit about doing their job. And why isn't Casey worried about *his* service record if the asset is taken by Fulcrum while his crew was doing overwatch but are instead acting like two horny teenaged boys? And if Sarah "doesn't form attachments"...why did she think she had fallen in love several times? Or was she just lying to Lizzie when she said that? I mean unless this is a retcon of Sarah's backstory, she's been in the CIA since Graham coerced her into joining when she was still a teenager. |
![]() ![]() Excellent so thankful with this story's courtship didn't talk about previous boyfriends, lovers on and on like in other fanfiction story's. I mean so many how Sarah compares Chuck to Bryce or marks how he kisses, looks, makes love, his manhood etc. Finally the past is the past and the story doesn't need those thoughts. |

![]() ![]() I hesitated to read this story because I didn't like the moves The Sound of Music. Boy, did I do myself a disservice. This was such a great story. Thank you for writing it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() guns, bombs, knives, absolutely brilliant how you work the plot with the songs. I love SOM2, but this is so good as well. |
![]() ![]() ![]() After seeing this story being recommend ten thousand times over, I finally read it and boy did it not disappoint. This was genius and I absolutely loved it. Thank you for sharing your creativity and talent! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Outstanding! What a clever mash-up (is that the right term)? It has been so many years since I've seen The Sound of Music that I did not get some of the references. This story has inspired me to re-watch it! My favorite line in the story was Sarah telling Chuck, "Where else would they live, they're OUR kids"! Chuck is the show that keeps on giving thanks to talented people writing these stories for fans like me to enjoy. You have my deepest appreciation. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was fantastic, one of the best Chuck stories ever written. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just realized why that tango choreography was familiar, its from "Scent of a Woman." Perfect choice as the playfulness of the original choreo matches Chuck's personality. lol |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. I love the start with Sarah as a nun - nice touch, but then Sarah’s transformation, bonding with the kids and obviously with Chuck, the lead up to the wedding and the wedding, honeymoon and return - all perfect. Really warmed my heart in our current trying times in 2020. Thank you so much for this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I know you have sequels to this so thank you. All the kids at Langley will be great. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Poor Lizzie. Should let Casey scare him. Casey should have spared with her. Always the charm bracelet. |
