I keep thinking this is canon...

I love this. Sirius and Remus are my favourite characters, and I'm glad there's a fanfiction about them- and James and Sirius- at school. I don't know why, but I find all these 'backstories' really interesting. I expect when I next read the books (well, the Prisoner of Azkaban), I'll keep thinking back to this story- I know I always think of 'We That are Young' whenever I watch FMA...

Wow, suspenseful, and written really well, too. I'm hard pressed to find a well written story about Remus' Hogswarts years, but this fic sounds really promising.

I am SO EXCITED to see you writing again! And I really like the story so far. One thing I've always admired about We That Are Young and Shall Never See So Much is your realistic portrayal of the pains of children and the way they shape the adult. I can see this story will explore that a lot too. I don't read much in the Potter fandom, since so much of it is pairings and reading about HP characters getting it on creeps me out. This is the kind of gen fic that I can really enjoy.

First let me say, I'm super happy that you are writing again! I think about your last story, and I can't lie... I am hoping for an ending one of these days! :)

I have never read a Harry Potter ff before and the only reason why I decided to give it a try was because of how talented I remember you being. So, for now I can't give you a review/critique about the story... I have only read the original books. But I am looking foward to reading the words of one of my favorite fanfiction authors again!

This is a fantastic start- it's so well-written, for one thing, and you've portrayed the characters really well! I can imagine James and Sirius fighting a lot- even when they're best friends...

And I love the relationship between Remus and his parents. I can see how they'd be protective over him after the attack.

I love the interactions of all the kids. I love that James and Sirius were fighting! That made me giggle. Poor Remus feels so alienated from everyone. I almost thought he was going to be friends with Severus for a moment, but of course its not to be. The characters are delightful, and already spot-on to how they are described in the books!

I'm interested in Remus's family too. You hinted at a few things like his fathers reaction, which I definitely want to hear more of. Also, what about his sibling? He/she wasn't present at his send-off...I like that his mother had done so much "research" on the magic world and werewolves, and that she encouraged him to go even though she really didn't want him too.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Oh my goodness I had LITERALLY just finished re-reading We That Are Young and Shall Never See So Much and was contemplating their amazingness when I saw your name in my inbox and about had a heart attack. If a storm hadn't knocked out our electricity at precisely that moment I would have read it then and there, despite that it was like 2 am when I saw it. I am SO EXCITED that you are writing again! I love every word of your Fullmetal Alchemist stories and if this chapter is any indication I'm going to love this story just as much! Remus is my absolute favorite HP character, and if there's anyone I would trust to write his story well it would be you. I cannot wait to read further on this story! (Also, I am going to insert here a shameless desperate plea to continue Shall Never See So Much. It really is one of the most wonderful things I've ever read and I seriously almost cried the first time I realized it wasn't finished.) Either way, I'm thrilled you're writing again! Can't wait for more. :)
