| Jeannie Ferris Wheel chapter 1 . 12/23/2011
I adore this story. The description in the beginning had me thinking it was John's POV (and I thought, 'What's different about that?') until I realized it was Rodney. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous transitions of thought.
The words you used to paint the sunset weren't overused throughout the story, they were precise enough to truly make it seem real, and I found them to be infused with Rodney-ness that I really appreciated.
The McShep at the end was glorious, and I could feel exactly what Rodney was feeling. I think the last line was a sweet one to end on, and it wraps up all of Rodney's scattered thoughts together.
I guess what this long-winded review is trying to say is GREAT JOB.
(This is going into my favorites!)

Wow, your sunset descriptions are POWERFUL! Makes me want to find the next hill to climb and see if sunsets like this exist in Maryland ;)
Rodney is definitely not the only one who can paint with words! Excellent little scene between those two, great job :)
