Guest chapter 7 . 10/22/2018 Wonder what he'd do if she committed suicide? Would ruin his plans quite wonderfully |
tigersmeleth chapter 9 . 10/16/2018 Oh my, this was brilliant from beginning to end. I liked the the academic debates as well as the more philosophical ones. The ending was a wrench, but entirely in keeping with the canon characters. |
nick7745 chapter 9 . 10/8/2018 Thanks for the fanfic, the writing is good and mature, and I thank you immensely for it. Although the end seems to be a fair bit of injustice towards Hermione. She ripped her soul upon his insistence to give him a second chance and he just throws it away gaining Hermione's redemption, which he already had post those memories and could have sacrificed himself to death once he showed her what he did to his own soul. I in no means attempt to belittle your work, but that's just how I felt, and thought of sharing it. Overall I love it for the fact that you attempted a ff with a Ancient Runes based plot, giving Harry the depth that canon and quite a few ff's lack. I'm a sucker for Dark fics, especially with Harry or Hermione as the lead chars. This one had a different tone to it and a welcome one as well. On a parting note, I'd have really loved to see Harry redeeming himself while nurturing the soul that Hermione gave him with his own half, grafting the two parts as his own. Cheers! |
nikprosta chapter 9 . 9/11/2018 This was very good, one of the best fanfics I've read infact! Thank You! |
Critical Reader chapter 9 . 8/12/2018 So, I read through all of it, even though I skipped a bit in the last two chapers...dunno. The fact that the author took so much time between the last couple of chapters really shows, it makes the whole story feel weird. The first chapers are great and after that I was only like "Aha, interesting. Wat? Weird. Wat? That doesn't make sense. Does it really need to be this complicated? Oh this takes too fucking long. WAT? Fuck this..." It's also just too long for the story that's told and just feels weird after some time. Plethoric, maybe. Great start, mediocre later und I disliked the ending. It makes the whole story kind of redundant...Ultimately, I can't really recommend this. |
Cristin Gryphon chapter 9 . 8/7/2018 This might be the most intense fanfic I have ever read. It flows well throughout and pulls me well to keep reading. I do not know if you still read reviews or if anyone will ever see this but thank you for the time you put into this and for sharing it with the world. It may not have brightened my day but it certainly made it more interesting. I was a little disappointed with the ending, Harry had come so close to taking hold of his second chance, and after what he put Hermione through it almost feels like a waste. But I guess for Harry simply being redeemed in Hermione's eyes might be enough to end on a high note, quit while he was ahead. |
Schlepian chapter 9 . 7/9/2018 Enthralling, unsatisfying, thought provoking. Definitely had me hooked from chapter 1. It's rare that I am very excited to consume a fanfic, and yet within 8 hours of finding this, I have finished. The ending was pretty apparent and yet you made me hope there was going to be a happy ending. Poor Hermione. |
Koi19 chapter 9 . 6/29/2018 Can't remember my password but here we go; Initially I thought the duality Harry lacked was the existence of Voldemort as a foil. Harry's foretelling came at the height of Riddle's inhumanity letting Harry be the embodiment of the highs and lows of human passion and compassion. Lacking what was good in his soul came as a surprise. I admit, I didn't believe Neville and the others, even after he killed the auror at Ron's place and for a few short moments thought it was Albus. He planned to end his life but didn't have enough balance in himself to go through with so he needed Hermione and took the abomination that Dumbledore became but also couldn't bring him to end with him. Hermione tried so hard. They could have made it work. T-T |
Guest chapter 9 . 6/3/2018 ...seems a little pointless. Harry loses part of his soil to save Dumbledore, who he then ends up killing. He also forces Hermione to sacrifice part of her soul to save him, but he then kills him self immediately afterwards. What exactly was the point of this whole thing? |
Maitre Inquisiteur chapter 9 . 5/31/2018 That's amazingly well written. |
automaton14 chapter 8 . 5/23/2018 On the other hand this story got me so emotionally invested that I'm genuinely pissed at the ending. So pissed I started ranting immediately at my roommate. Well done, excellent artistry. Ugh. |
automaton14 chapter 9 . 5/23/2018 Oh fuck that ending. Completely and totally rubbish. Seriously, what is wrong with you? It makes zero sense. Why fight Dumbledore if he's suicidal? Why go through the trouble to fix his soul and fuck up Hermione's if he's just going to off himself? This is the lamest piece of crap I've ever read and it cheapens the story. It's not even a story at this point, it's just an exercise in futility, masquerading as some faux-deep metaphor about our humanity robs us of our humanity. That ending is wrong, you wrote it wrong and you deserve a better story than this. Get some help. Go see a doctor, you depressed emo of a person. Gah fuck this. |
FireAndSteel chapter 9 . 5/21/2018 Really good, bit of a dead ending though |
concept048 chapter 1 . 5/20/2018 holy shit, this was an amazing story! ending made want to kill you painfully though. very. painfully. |
concept048 chapter 1 . 5/19/2018 well you're a pussy, why don't you review that on your actual profile? |
