Oh, my GOD, I love it. He has a picture of her in his wallet. The first thing he noticed was her smile and her right hook. AH, perfect.
Also, I am so glad someone else has the idea of Dean and Jo having two little girls, I have always loved it and it has never ever left my mind.
Um yeah, this was going to be more technical but I have been dissolved to flailing hands and this is awesome.

Yay! Love this update! I find it very hard to hate anything you post! Lol I thought the idea of the pic of Jo in Dean's wallet was a really cute and different idea that I have never read before! I just can't seem to get enough of this couple! (: I also really enjoyed the last part about the future pictures in his wallet, that pulled at my heart! Love!
Can't wait for the next update! And maybe a return of Sam...(;

I love the imagery in this story! Jo's at her best, hard where she needs to be, but soft at the same time. I especially love this line from ch. 3 "The very fact that he entertained these uncharacteristically sentimental and nausea inducing thoughts led him to believe that in every way imaginable, Jo was different to all the other women he had met."
I think chapter three's my favorite so far! I grinned all the way through it.

Sera Gamble : "It's light relief."
No, this here was light relief, executed perfectly, giving the reader hope and lovely accompanying warm fuzzies before you slap on that angst thick with a trowel again.
Loved it, as I do the whole premise of this story. My favourite bit was the end focus on the wallet, because with that we knew everything would be ok; Sam will be back, and one day the brothers will both be happy, in your verse at least, and as a reader I would never ask for more. xxx

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME? This story is all kinds of perfect! I am an emotional mess right now because i'm never gonna get to see this happen.

Yay! I love this update! How is possible that Dean is even more adorable when he is sick! Love him! (: and Jo taking care of him was cute! I'm loving all the fluff! Especially the exchange of "I love you". My heart does break for Dean though now that Sam is gone. The scene with the two brothers in the store was very bittersweet!
Can't wait to read more! (:

You pulled it out of the bag again, doody. You're always a pleasure to beta for (even if your damn WP spacing drives me nuts), because I know that what I will get to read before everyone else will make me feel priviledged.
Sick! Dean was definitely how I would have figured him to be, and I think you made the right choice with Jo's major. I am certain that will be a running joke with Dean now though, lol. His own personal nurse.
This was a sweet chapter, and that definitely fit. The boys in the drugstore were a nice way to touch on Dean's still raw greif, but also to show that Jo is helping him heal. Loved it. You don't bog the reader down with negative emotion, instead you bolster the spirit and leave us with a smile.

| Mali Bear's Buddy chapter 2 . 9/11/2011
I've seen a great number of fics where Dean takes care of a sick Sam and I confess I've often wondered who would take care of Dean. I think you captured it very well - he wouldn't know when to quit and, hitting the point of completely run down, he'd likely be insufferable.
The bit with the brothers in the drug store was heartbreaking. It so easily could've been Sam and Dean. That he tried to hid his years behind watering eyes and Jo was there to support him was beautiful and striking. I got misty right along with Dean in that moment. So sad...but, at the same time, almost a glimpse at a memory of what things could have been like. Very excellent detail.
Jo taking care of Dean - all the little details from meds to scheduling to his mother's soup - was lovely. That she was so thoughtful and caring - even moreso that he wasn't spooked - was as warm and filling as I imagine the soup would have been. Jo's confession of love - particularly that it came in somewhat of a curse while Dean had the thermometer in his mouth - was perfect and incredibly unique. I've never seen anything quite like it, with Jo or an OC. Truly sigh-worthy. That she threw caution to the wind and kissed him figuring she'd likely get sick anyway...how he held her...the way it ended with an ill-timed coughing fit - sheer brilliance. Very well done and completely natural.
Finally, ending with Jo having the sniffles and Dean feeling content even in his grief? You could not have made this any more perfect. A slice of real life painted with the words you put on the page. Makes me long for more and eagerly await the next one!
