Angelus 408 chapter 1 . 10/8/2017 Funny, sweet and sad. I really liked it. Thanks |
shookenuppepsi chapter 1 . 3/1/2013 This is lovely. It makes the Impala seem even more like a huge, if silent, part of their lives. |
paperstorm chapter 1 . 3/10/2012 Omg this is AMAZING. I love Impala fics but this one is the best I've ever read, I think. I loved it, how you kind of took us through their lives all revolving around the only real home they've ever had and all the smells that they barely notice anymore because they're just part of them. It was perfect. Nice work. |
Tianhuayoucao chapter 1 . 12/24/2011 This piece reads like canon. Chuck should have filled out his Impala history with your story, it's so breathtakingly real and hilarious (the tilt and the $10 guy was priceless). Every little detail simply dovetails into the show and the boys' souls. A story worthy of the most important object in the universe. |
Nancy T chapter 1 . 9/29/2011 Marvelously evocative, particularly Dean's memory of missing John's car coat and the gun-metal smell of both the Impala and her owners. Thank you. |
angelsofthelord chapter 1 . 9/28/2011 Amazing Amanda! You are such a great writer! |
Caslvr89 chapter 1 . 9/16/2011 Really well written! |
Twinchester Angel chapter 1 . 8/25/2011 I loved absolutely everything about this. Baby is truly a thing of beauty and she is as much Winchester as Sam and Dean and John and Mary. And OMG the "tilting" had my laughing my arse off! I love your writing. It's always so in character and this was no exception. And somehow in this "love letter" to Baby, you also managed to break my heart a little more for those boys and their mutual death experiences. And of course, as always, Baby was there. You, my friend, are awesome. Thanks so much for this! *hugs* |
Linnie McCary chapter 1 . 8/24/2011 This is quite wonderful, in a gentle, loved-and-loving way. I love the rules, like "no burritos for Sam" and watch out for Dean and occasional vegetables. I love the rituals, like the buffing in focused circles, and the checking for right-tilts (complete with brother-pranking). I love the ribbing, like the "scissors fetish" and wanting a certain someone to be out of punching range. And I love the unexpected gems, like "I sleep bigger" and Sam not liking Dean's onions because his hair gets windblown. Really? Quite, quite wonderful. Thank you. |
LoveTheCoat chapter 1 . 8/23/2011 Oh, the blessed Impala! This was lovely! I had to laugh at the bickering...sounds just like those Winchester boys. |
Bookjunk chapter 1 . 8/23/2011 Another wonderful story. The characterisation of the boys was spot on. I really liked the little jibes too. Dean teasing Sam about his long hair and his inability to surprise anyone with his trusty scissors, Sam mocking Dean's sleeping habits and tricking him with the nonexistent tilt of the Impala. It was funny and endearing at the same time. I enjoyed the hell out of it! |
