Reviews for A Day in the Impala, 1984
00-night-eyes-00 chapter 1 . 10/14/2013
love it.
smokeyadrenaline chapter 1 . 5/20/2013
I really love all your Day in the Impala stories. They're so credible and yet I love how you construct them without so much reliance on the show's canon because you can add so much more of a new aspect to sam and dean and their childhood. You flow the story along so nicely and there's never a moment ruined by ooc-ness or weird word choice or unbelievable dialogue. You're pretty talented at that. This story is so bittersweet and i really love little dean - he's such a hero.
Yeah - i really like this. :)
thirdturtledove997 chapter 1 . 3/27/2013
Oh my goodness, The feels! I think you broke me. I mean-wait, no I will not go into a rant just because I should really go eat dinner... Just know that this is brilliant! And at my own risk (when I have time) I'll check out your other stories.
shookenuppepsi chapter 1 . 3/1/2013
Oh, I just want to wrap little Dean up in a blanket and keep him safe. Him hiding the shapes around the Impala is a great touch. And him crying because he didn't know how to take care of Sam was a tearjerker.
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 1 . 5/9/2012
John, you stupid son of a bitch.

You know, in another life, him teaching Dean how to at least read the clock is actually kind of brilliant and would make a great little father/son moment. Here though? God, poor Dean. I still love how he mimics his mother in trying to take care of Sammy (whose name did you expect Sam to say first, John? Dean's the one who acts like a father!). And that list of fears he rattled off when he couldn't wake up John? No kid should have to even consider those things. Ever. That just tore at me. Once again, brilliant work even if you made me hate John with a fiery passion right now.
Linnie McCary chapter 1 . 8/24/2011
Dean Winchester: amazing son, amazing big brother, amazing little boy. This fic was delicious.
NongPradu chapter 1 . 8/24/2011
I think you broke me with this. :(

It was so sad, especially because it rang so true. I can totally see this having happened. Little Sammy was so cute, and poor brave little Dean was everything we know him to be.

Yup. Definitely broke me. *sniffles*
LoveTheCoat chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
You straight up made me cry. This was a wonderful, and heartbreaking, and probably quite accurate look at the Weee-chesters. Poor little Dean :(
Emmers224 chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
Ohh that broke my heart! You had me thinking John really was dead. I was all ready to whip out the tissues. Even at 5 with a possibly deceased father, Dean was already only thinking of Sam. His panic when he realized he didn't know how to make a bottle or buy diapers for Sam was shockingly sad and very much within his character. It puts the foundation of his being in a whole new light.

I really liked this. Your writing is amazing and the story afforded very nice glimpse of the early years with a diapered Sam, a burdened Dean, and grieving John. Loved it!
Paulathe Cat chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
That was brilliant! I loved it. It really captured the essence of Dean, yeah. Good writing.
primadonna cat chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
Way too easily i can see this scenerio.
melitta4ever chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
I love the story. Great job projecting Dean's little mind.

The story gave me the full rainbow of feelings.

Warmth filled my heart learning Sam's first word, "Dean". I guess this is a bit personal since my little brother's first word was "sister"; one of the happiest moments )

The bitter taste learning Sammy could pronounce "juice" before "daddy".

And the boiling fury... "your dad isn't dead. He's just drunk." That excuse for a father!
Cornish Rhapsody chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
This was totally adorable and yet heartbreakingly sad at the same time. I felt so sorry for little Dean and baby Sammy was so cute! Thanks for sharing this story.
