| Dragon-of-the-north chapter 1 . 12/19/2003
O, song, by cunning writer wrought/
in vain my search - amiss is naught!/
And praisèd be the scholars wise/
who like to anagrammatise./
This being high art at its best/
I stipulate but one request:/
Let it not end here, artful bard - /
go forth and "find" another part! ;-)

Well, I saw this at yor website,(one of my first Silm fics *nostalgic*) but I didnt know you had it here. You see, changes are good ;-)
Beautiful. I think that the compiler was stupid for not adding this to the extant Lay, for this captures Tolkiens style quite well. I mean it, truly. A *much* needed gapfiller in the truest sense of the word.
Hmmm...but WHO can be? I dont know, but Im sure she must be an interesting personality...

Very good job, Finch. I love your style; I read the first chapter of "Separation" and loved it a lot. This follows in the same line, the use of language is beautiful, the poetry is excellent!
I especially like your choosing of a topic. The Silmarillion is a wonderful work, and I think your writing plainly shows how well acquainted you are with Tolkien's work and world, and what a talented writer you are. This is wonderful, keep up the good work!
