I truly feel for the Cullen's however them seem to have very little consideration for Edward and Bella. Maybe if they are threatened with possible charges they'll change their tune. After all they did buy a stolen baby...

Hmmm..I'm adopted so I think I can speak from experience. If my "birth parents" would show up out of the blue and try to take me away from my family then I would do ANYTHING to stop them. Those people are basically strangers, especially since Ryan didn't even know them because he was still a newborn. I spent the first 9 months of my life with my "birth family" and don't remember them at all. I don't believe in that instant connection crap because you could show me two people that share parts of my DNA and I'd be like "sooo? Good for you guys but I don't know you?"
They should have stayed out of his life and moved on. It's better than to have a split family. imo

under any state law in a case like this he would have to be returned as this would be considered a kidnapping. It doesn't matter that the Cullen's thought they legally adopted him he was initially kidnapped from his parents and illegally put up for adoption without parental consent or the signature of either parent which in and of itself makes the adoption null and void. Even just one signature being missing can screw an adoption over.
