Glad to see updates to the story...though it had been a while, I had to read from the beginning to refresh my self with the story...Def. not a hardship. Looking forward to more updates soon...congrats on the wedding!

Reading this through I'm just impressed with the emotional crests in this chapter. There's really so much going on in Deeks' mind, so much he is thinking about when it comes to Kensi, his job, his adopted family and all the good and bad history there. His reassurance that he takes from thinking of Kensi is lovely, as well as his realization that he needs to be there for her, too. I do look forward to their inevitable conversation and what they figure out together for their future.

The resolution on Laura's assault was such a nice relief. It's good to see when the bad guys pay and that even when it may take time, it still can happen. And Deeks' reaction to that, his physical and almost all consuming response, just said so much about how much that news meant to him, which speaks to the kind of man he is and how much he cares for Laura, Jim and Libby.

And I like Knowles! He seems like a decent guy trying to do a hard job and trying to do it morally in a sea of difficulty and occasional corruption. Deeks could probably use more allies and it's nice to see he's got one there.

And thanks for such a lovely shout out to my new story. That was very sweet of you. And much appreciated.

Wow. That's a lot for one man to take. I'm glad Derks is getting better and that LAPD got Russo. I hope Deeks decides to become an agent with NCIS. At least he has Kensi to help him deal with the aftermath of everything.

I really hate that there are so many LAPD people that don't like Deeks...what's the reason? They jealous of his skill, intelligence and talent as a cop and now NCIS liason? Really ticks me off! Grrrrrrrr!

"You had me at 'jello'." Aww, so perfect! I liked how the end of the chapter brought this around full circle from the beginning, and the in between also emphasized the relationships all around Kensi and Deeks. The rest of the NCIS team, and Deeks' interactions with the other cops.

I also love that others in the team can see a change in Kensi. She's obviously realizing and accepting the change Deeks has brought on in her, but Sam seeing it just speaks volumes.

And the Chinese Jack Bristow line: Perfection! ;)
