| Solarius Scorch chapter 18 . 10/26
A "Wild Mass Guessing" thought: it would be sort of logical if it was Tsukasa who turned out to be the Mother this time. After all, she is also a focal point, and when she finds out about Miyuki, it won't be pretty. Besides, Kagami seems to develop in another direction, with her Saber-like steelness of a warrior. I may be wrong of course, and I probably am, but I still entertain this thought... Ever since the Demonstar fic by Dioxine, I consider Tsukasa subtly demonic deep down. :)

Best chapter ending ever :)
Of course I should go on, praising everything else. But I'm in too much of a hurry to read on, and I'm losing my sleeping hours here. :)
| Solarius Scorch chapter 11 . 10/26
This kind of stuff is really hard to pull off, but I'm really impressed with the transformation sequence. It was just very beautiful.
Tsukasa is incredibly erotic, as she well should be. I hope we'll see more of her various sides, she's a very interesting character.
And, of course, the kiss. Yay!
| Solarius Scorch chapter 10 . 10/26
Awesome. I've been reading it offline, so no reviews, but it's a great piece so far. I love the horror parts, and the emotional parts, it's all just good writing. No complaints really, or at least I can't remember any.
What's going to happen now? What is the big mystery? I can't wait for the next one! Which I luckily have right here, so let me start on it.
| Solarius Scorch chapter 2 . 10/22
Oops, it was pretty stupid of Homura to get caught like this, after doing so much to undo the damage.
Well, the story is getting interesting. The first chapter was rather forced, like something that should be there but nobody actually was interested in. This one had much more substance, and was quite evocative.
| GodokaAkemi chapter 34 . 5/17
Wow, is all that I could say after reading this. I just love you right now. This deserves more attention because of the sheer awesomeness of it. The idea is just so original and so unthought of that you just can't help but gawk at it. The plot was amazing and everything fit nicely in the end, just like Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The story had the right amount of romance as not to make it overbearing and not to make it seem useless either, the main ship was just so surprising from the summary and so bizarre, one would just have to stop and read it. You gave me a whooe new perspective on te dangers and powers of love, I just... I just can't think strait after my mind was been utterly blown...And the end... By Godoka, the end... It was so surprising seeing a (major spoiler to those reading reviews before the story) younger Homura, but also making it kind of awkward in a sence, yet still making me smile since this Homura might live a somewhat normal life. I'm wondering, when Kagami finally dies and reunites with Homura, would Madoka and Kagami have to like...share...Homura or something? That would actually be pretty interesting to see in a sequel one shot of sorts...
The whole story was a wild and exciting ride since the beginning and I just loved it! The yuri was spot on, the story was down to the point and very much dark (with the exception of Konata, of course) and it just made me amazed to read this masterpiece. While my review may be short compared to others to this story, I just would like to thank you and anyone involved in this story for giving me a great deal of entertainment. :)

I've got a lot of mixed feelings about the ending. RIP Homura, at least your ending here is happier than canon. Poor Kagami though...
I know Kuubey is good in this, but I still can never forgive him, I guess I'm unfeeling like that. I think that the thousands of magical girls he doomed before the realization of his conscience came about.
Other than that, excellent fic!

This story was wonderful.
And, Homura-chan... *teary*
| Idoneior chapter 34 . 4/24/2014
I have nothing to say except that this is an amazing story that I've felt privileged to read. Thank you for writing!
| Redler Red7 chapter 34 . 4/18/2014
An amazing end to an amazing story. Wonderful work BHS. If you ever plan on making another long fic, please know that I will follow it til the world no more... or until you finish

And so it ends. You surely outdid yourself for this; it was worth two and a half years of work. One of my weaknesses as a writer is I'm quite easily distracted and have a tendency to want to push ideas out as fast as possible. Would that I could summon your fortitude and self-discipline to create an epic of my own. Yes, I described Stars Above as an epic.
I have one teensy bit of criticism though; I wish there'd been more foreshadowing of Homura's end throughout the last chapter or two, like maybe she would've felt woozy or faint for brief periods, or maybe even noticed a small crack in her ring during the battle. But the final scenes were perfectly done, especially her, Kagami's (and Madoka's) final moment.
Anyway, thank you for your grand show, and I and all your other followers hope to see you again.
PS: Sorry about your losses. I can understand why you might have had some trouble writing this at times.
| Obssesed Nuker chapter 34 . 4/16/2014
I've... got tears in my eyes. This story... was great.
You have to wonder though... if there is a Homura native to Kagami's universe, doesn't that mean there is a Madoka too? And a Kyouko, Mami, Sayaka, and all the rest?
Maybe for an omake...
| Ice-cream-and-cake-cake chapter 34 . 4/16/2014
I'm totally not holding back tears right now. My eyes are wet because a rock flew into them and it's not coming out. I mean, I knew there had to be a day where Homu-chi had to end but...good grief, this right here, isn't how I expected it. At least she died happily and content with her results. I look like a fool sitting her sobbing in front of my mom. I do not wish this on anybody what so ever. But I'm glad Kyubey had some sort of bond with Homura. What happen with Oriko, Yuma, Nico, and Kazumi(if I recall correctly)? Did they kick the bucket at some point also? Such a bittersweet ending. I was not ready for this. So...now I'm just gonna go...lay somewhere and cry. I'll probably watch some Eva now...
| BlazeKasai chapter 34 . 4/16/2014
Hoya. BlazeKasai and HanaReiGirl here. (I'm too lazy to go back to my account; just chillin' at Blaze's, XD.)
Hana: Anyways, that was so touching and awesome. I think that this ending really fits in well with the story. It's just... so amazing, I can hardly describe it. (Either that or I'm too stupid to properly describe such a great story.)
Blaze: I've only recently began reading Stars Above, and I have to say, you are amazing. I respect you and your stories. It is just superb, I really can't describe it (I'm not dumb like Hana though). I loved the ending! It's so touching!
Anyways, loved it. You're the best!
| Michael S. Repton chapter 34 . 4/16/2014
Beautiful. Simply beautiful all the way to the end. I loved every word of the amazing descriptions of the magical combat in this chapter, and I loved the way it brought the character arcs of every one of the main characters to a stunning and satisfying conclusion. I wish it hadn't had to end on such a bittersweet note, but other than that - this was simply perfect. I can only hope that one day I'll be able to write something that's as gorgeous and affecting as this. Many congratulations on seeing the project all the way through to the end - while waiting for this chapter, I re-read the whole story as soon as I finished watching Lucky Star, and it's one of those stories that's even better on re-reading because the whole thing fits together perfectly. Thank you so much for this amazing story :)
