Heh, Bottin Street. Very nice; I liked the thought process of the kid as he was creeping into the graveyard.

Good fic, but how do you manage to quarantine against the thing without an airtight, thing-proof shell? What is stopping it from infecting a few mosquitos or bees?

As always, a masterpiece. This is a true horror story, and i really like these "thing" storyes you make. Why? Because they are merely one-shots, but i can picture the scenes, feel the tension and horror... are like small movies, more real than fiction. Almost alive.
I hope to read soon another of your masterpieces, you ARE really one of the best fanfiction writers i have ever seen, and i don't say this often. You really, really, earned it.

That's pretty sick. Good story. But did you ever think about the thing eventually going airborne? Or infecting little things like bugs. In the book "who goes there?" it's suspected at the end that the thing infects a bird. If it's sentient on a cellular level, what's to stop it from infecting germs?

hehe nice...the thing is on the move! but whose to say it stops here, eh? :)

We're not worthy! OK, possibly being overly dramtic but loving your Thing saga. You do wonder to what extent, the Thing can actually relate as higher organism, considering that it basicaly behaves like a supercolony of microrganism that overwhelm and emulate whatever it attacks. Your concerned couple can pretend to comfort Jordan, but is anything beyond the basic predatory response beyone them...
