I really like how you're doing this story. Easier to read then the last time. You could start showing things from others perceptive though.

Are ANY of the adults in Harry's life going to bother to try communicating with him? It is amazing what you can learn by simply talking to children! I can't wait to read Sev's mental lightbulb go off when he talks with the social worker. Thanks for the update! I enjoyed reading this chapter.

Severus may not know what he's doing but if he really had listened, he might realize that dumping Harry with the Weasley's after only two days would do more damage than good.

Hopefully, when he has his meeting with Portia the next day, he actually learned something.

I like your story, but I hope he goes back to Severus. Not that the Weasleys are horrible, hell they've got their own Quidditch team! But I still like Severus as his 'father'! Kudos!

oh man maybe if Severus would just try explaining things to little Harry, i mean you can't just take things away from a child like that and expect them to understand things, i kind of like the way this story is going, wondering who or where the could be slash part is though and i really hope Severus keeps little Harry and doesn't just send him away like that

No wonder the poor child is confused; Portia at least attempted to explain things. In the original version, no one explained to Harry about magic or even properly introduced themselves to him. Are you going to continue that?
