I honestly don't know where to start. You wrote Sherlock's wit, his humor, his vulnerabilty perfectly. John's affection and irritation only added to the wonderful chemistry between the two. You nailed their friendship beautifully. amazing work :)

I'm still working my way through this story, but I wanted to comment on this chapter. I really enjoyed the portrayal of Lestrade in this one. It's very in character, and provides some wonderful back story. You really get a sense of the respect and admiration that he has developed for Sherlock over the years, and you see the affection that has grown for him, despite Sherlock's best attempts at keeping Lestrade at a distance.

I often find it frustrating when many fics portray Lestrade as being a static, bumbling character, because the man is a DETECTIVE, for heaven's sake. He would surely be sharp, observant, clever, and honorable - just as you've written him here. Bravo!

On to Chapter 13! I'm so enjoying this story... :)
