Reviews for The Pandorica Seen Through Time |

![]() ![]() ![]() It's been a number of years since I've been here, and dutifully I wait in case it may update; long has it been since this moment has ended. But grateful I've been that it was here for me to read at all. Joy and health, wherever you are: |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm crying so hard |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was so excited for the next chapter but was horrified to find that there is no next chapter. rip me |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was bloody marvellous, and I'm devastated that it hasn't been updated in roughly eight years. Wishing you the best, N Umbra |
![]() ![]() ![]() It was good and I hope this story is this going to continue and please update |
![]() ![]() ![]() I hope this review gets to you in good health. I have recently gotten into Dr. Who and have found myself enamoured with the concept of Rory as the Lone Centurion and have searched high and low for any fic that satiates my desire. Your story, 'The Pandorica Seen Through Time,' I will admit, is one of the most brilliant pieces of fiction I have ever witnessed. I absolutely adore what you've done with Rory Williams. Rory the Nurse. Rory the Roman. Rory the Lone Centurion. Rory the Last Centurion. Rory the Healer. Rory the Warrior. Rory, Twice-Cursed by the Gods. Rory the Teacher. Rory, Father of Merlin. Rory, the Man in the Mountain. Rory, the Man Who Never Dies. St. Rory of the Mountain. St. Rory, the One Who Waits. The struggle Rory faces is raw and beautiful. The way you write his relationships is touching, conjuring emotion throughout the highs and lows of his long, long life. The only issue I'd find is the lack of timestamp. I'd love to know what year, even if it's only an approximate, that Rory lives to be able to conceptualize it all (Unless, of course, it doesn't fit the story (like right now where "How long has Rory been entombed" is the question)). I love how everything slowly twists into legend, how this family he meets turns to him raising Merlin. How giving his sword away turns to Excalibur. It's all brilliant. The mythos is brilliant, and I would love to hear how he gets mythologised. I don't know if you'd ever pick up the pen (or keyboard, in this case) again. I wouldn't beseech you to do so and I most certainly understand if other commitments have come. Whatever state your life is in now, know that your writing has effected the hearts of many and that you're simply brilliant. |
![]() ![]() ![]() :-) Well, you seem to be a saint, Rory. Congrats. And, no, they don't care that you aren't religious. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; |
![]() ![]() Hi! I know this fic hasn't been updated in a long time, but I've read it multiple times even so. I love the obvious knowledge and passion for history that went into this story, and I'd love to see it completed. Rory is one of my favorite Doctor Who characters of all time, and this fic really puts him center stage in a way that he almost never gets to be in the show. I hope you and your family are well and coping during this strange time, J |
![]() ![]() ![]() You need to keep working on this story, hell, remove the doctor who stuff, rework Rory into some immortal without powers, and it's practically an original retelling of the Arthur myth that might make either a good movie, or book. That is how 50 Shades of Grey turned from being a Twilight fanfiction into a moneymaker. |
![]() ![]() I had such a wonderful time reading this fic! I'm sorry to read how much you struggled and I hope it was a choice that you haven't updated in several years, not the bitch of life. Anyway. Consider this a hug and a well done and a bottle of whatever vintage you like and encouragement to write more for Rory. I'll be bookmarking this fic when I log back in to this site (I'll go find my password then...) and subscribing in case of updates. If it's complete then I look forward to tracking down any sequels that may exist. All the best, Grace |
![]() ![]() ![]() I know it’s been a long time and I have no idea if you’re gonna see it, but I just wanted to say that I read this four years ago and loved it. I loved the story and I loved how much roman history was in it, and it made me curious about that history, and that’s why I chose to do Latin for my language requirement in college. Because of that decision, because of this story, I met my favorite professor ever, absolutely fell in love with the classics, and am now about to graduate with a classics minor. So thank you so much for a piece of writing that truly, truly changed my life. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is perhaps the most beautifully written, unique piece of art I have ever read, and as a literature student that’s really saying quite something. I’ve been rationing these chapters out for the past month so I’d like to thank you for giving me something to look forward to each day. The ability to capture and portray the spirit of these characters and create an interesting plot which spans over such a wide time period is truly something. Thank you for creating such a work. Like Rory, I eagerly await the possible return or continuation of something really quite special |
![]() ![]() ![]() Holy shit this fic is fantastic. I wish you would come back and finish it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love this story, even though it's dead it's such a powerful tale |
