| Quinn chapter 8 . 7/30/2013
Hello! First of all, I /adored/ your fanfic. It was beautifully written, the characters' personalities were so accurate and enjoyable, and it was such a fun and intense story. It was like one of those books that I just couldn't put down until I finished it. lol
Also, this may sound a bit weird, but I wanted to say thank you to you... My best friend and I started reading this, while talking online, and.. Well, long story short, we came to a realization that, much like Stan and Kyle, we belong together. I know this probably sounds super cheesy and stuff, but I'm serious. XD I feel like reading this, and relating to Stan in different ways, helped us get the courage to talk about us and be honest about our feelings.
So thank you for that and for the amazing story. (: Gotta love Style!

This is the greatest style fic I've ever seen!
I love how you write their's interaction, and Stan's mind!

I was already in love with this story BEFORE the Utena reference. That just sealed the deal for me. Reading this, I was expecting asexual or confused Kyle, and when it came up you handled it very nicely. We are still left to wonder about a few things, but I don't expect all the loose ends to be tied since life doesn't work that way. The flashbacks were relevant and sweet. The story could use a little editing for grammar and typos, but that didn't really hurt the impact of your writing.
And, for the record, I also think it realistically possible that their relationship works out. It takes a lot of openness, love, and compromise to make it work, but these two aren't lacking in these areas. As someone in a similar situation to Kyle's, I don't see it as a doomed or unrealistic ending.
| shikamaru roxs my soxs chapter 8 . 4/20/2012
Can I just tell you that this fic is pretty much amazing? It has all the lovable dorkiness of Style, an amazing Kenny, and a believable Cartman. And, on top of that, it has plot. :D A well thought out plot, at that.
And, not to mention the fact that I love Kyle being asexual. Being ace myself, I find that fanfiction loses perspective on gender identities that aren't gay/straight/lesbian or some combination thereof.
And, ignore those who say that the idea of Stan and Kyle's relationship will never last, because Kyle doesn't want sex and Stan most likely will. In every relationship, you have to compromise, and one of the compromises asexuals make with non-ace partners is having sex. It's just like rock-climbing: you may not particularly enjoy it, but you'll participate with your partner(s) because you love them and want to make them happy. It just means that you don't go rock climbing as much as your partner(s) may want to.
I think the way you described Kyle's sexuality was very real. He's still just trying to learn about his sexuality, and so many asexuals have no idea what they are. First, they think "oh, I don't act heterosexual, I must be gay," and then "well, i don't think my own sex, so i must be heterosexual, and just not good at it." So, basically, there's a good portion of the ace population who don't know that they are ace, and just think that they are just not understanding something about sex that everyone else is. I can see this in the way you wrote Kyle, and how he doesn't know who he's attracted to, if at all, and he doesn't know much about his own asexuality. (It tugs at the old heartstrings, because I am still trying to figure out my own asexuality)
So, tl;dr: Awesome. Awesome everywhere.

Wow this was amazing! I absolutely loved it, it was so well written :)
| TricksterAries chapter 8 . 2/19/2012
Very good story. Very detailed, confusion and some of the actiony scenes. Very fun read, perhaps you could have elaborated on the 'asexuality' more, since it seemed like it was a sub-plot (from all the sexual tension and mentioning of him being unsure of the sexual contact). Glad I picked this one to read though. It was well organized, simple enough to not get bored, and yet it was concise and well-thought out. I give it an A. Keep it up.
Take care :)

But who gives a monkeys, this was sooo cute! 3
| Lily Zen chapter 8 . 12/2/2011
This was well-written and beautiful... However, I can't help but feel that it's also unrealistic. (I realize South Park is a fictional show, but bear with me.) No relationship is going to work in the long-term if one partner has a sexual drive and the other does not. Somebody ends up suffering. I feel bad for Stan because eventually this one-sided relationship is going to wear him down. It will never last. Sadly. Sorry to be such a nay-sayer. I did really enjoy reading this, but to me it's more of a sad story than a true romance.
