Good start to another story. Your writing is, as always, well done and engaging. I find myself drawn into the story without thinking about word choices or structure at all, which is nice and keeps me interested in the characters. I think I'm looking forward to this time-period in your idea of Hermione and Snape's characters, and the plot-line is original and has a lot of potential to bring out the best in them and the overall story-line. Overall, a solid start, I really enjoyed the last line and I hope you update shortly!

Beautifully written, as always... The interactions between Madam Pomfrey and the portrait of Dilys have the same flavor that you see in Terry Pratchett's Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg. Never underestimate the power of dotty little old ladies who come in pairs- especially if they wear pointy hats. And Snape's reaction to Umbridge is so absolutely spot on, its scary. But in a good way. Can't wait to read more!

As to the subject of the author's note... that badly written, pale imiation (complete with wanton abuse of the common comma et al.)only serves to highlight the very real quality of your work, which is of the highest calibur.

I'm so full of squee to see you've started a new story I just may explode! I absolutely adore your take on the beginning of OoTP from Sev and Hermione's POV. Sev's opinion of Dolores is priceless. Sounds like he's gearing up for a very tough year, hope his liver gets a chance to dry out - that is so not good.

I do like the chapter as a whole, but I don't feel like it's up to your usual standards (which admittedly were set quite high by Post Tenebras Lux). Make sure to edit before posting! This story has really great potential, but this chapter seems more like a draft then the finale product.

! Consider yourself glomped! And that was just because I was so excited to see this fic. Just the idea you shared on your author's page started a version of this plot in my head (I have no intention of writing it, one, because I knew yours would be better and two, because I do not have the time.) But that's how badly I could not wait to see this fic begin! I had to think of it myself.

Now, oh my goodness. This was an amazing start. I see that we might be getting more of Severus's POV this fic than in PTL. THat's fun. I like his snarky, intelligent voice. I feel so bad for him, all those medical problems that cropped up over the summer. Man, with the stress he's under, no wonder it had such a toll on his body. But now Hermione's going to be there to help-if he'll let her. Probably not much at first, but it's only year 5. They have a ways to go. (Can't wait to see what Severus think's of Hermione's handling of Umbridge.)

And finally, I think I will be reporting LerDan. I did the comparison, and at first I thought- well, the kink is pretty universal, and surly the sex-babbling dialogue is pretty basic across the board, but then I saw what you meant. The exposition was very, very similar. If it's not outright plagerism, it is treading the line and since yours was written first, she/he/they/ve should re-write it.

I am so excited to see your new story posted. Post Tenebras Lux is one of my absolute favorite stories on this site, and I think that you have incredible talent. I can't wait to read more. I will try to be patient because I know it will be worth it.

I am also very sorry that someone plagiarised your story. I hope that the site will take down the other story, and that this experience will not cause you to take down any of your work. It would truely be sad to see any of your work taken down. I have read Post Tenebras Lux several times and am sure I will again in the future. I am sorry the other author wasn't mature enough to rewrite his/her work. I compared the two and it is frankly plagerized.

It makes me rethink my own writing as I get ready to publish my first work; I will be scrutinizing it. I hope I've taken inspiration from another story and could not be accused of taking ideas or words. I may get in touch with that author to discuss it with them.

Yay! Another story from you! I have to admit, I came to your writing from your Tortall stories, but fell in love with Post Tenebras Lux and now I am completely hooked to the HG/SS pairing. I read the plagiarism. At first I thought it might be unintentional, but she really does copy some of your words exactly. That sucks.

I love how this story is going so far, and I've only read the first chapter! Your fanfics are always fantastic, from 'Mione and Severus to Daine and Numair. Anyways, I can't wait to see what's going to happen with this one! :)
