My word, this was an excellent story! I was a bit concerned when I saw 60 chapters, and none of them were short ones! But every word contributed to the story, and that's not an easy thing to achieve. Bravo!

alright but the epitaph is one I genuinely wrote down as part of an argument in the second chapter of my thesis last week. no rest for the brainy, it seems. great quote, and great work of fiction so far. there is such depth in your characters and the veering off canon without actually reworking and rewriting the entire of the harry potter series, is really impressive. this feels like it could have been an aborted draft, or an earlier version of the last three books. thank you ever so much for taking all this time and putting in all that effort writing these masterpieces, and then even sharing it with the rest of us. truly, thank you so very much for sharing.

This was recommended on Reddit recently, and I’m so glad I saw the rec since I’m a dedicated AO3 user and wouldn’t have found it otherwise. Absolutely love this story, and the depictions of Severus and Hermione are fantastic! In particular, I feel like the way you described Severus and Lily’s relationship as children is so accurate and heartbreaking. Also, the theory that the curse was reaching Dumbledore’s brain and affecting his cognitive abilities is perfect; it’s not addressed enough that his whole plan was unnecessarily convoluted and entirely dependent on luck. Looking forward to reading more of your work!
