| Susan Swenson chapter 61 . 2/23/2021 I have read this story a few times and I re-reading, because I enjoyed every time I read it. I have to admit, I usually skip the authors notes at the beginning of chapters, but felt the need to it in this chapter. And I totally agree with you about how ridiculously stupid people are when they criticize. Especially when they then try to deny that it is personal, because of course it is personal! And to be absolutely honest, the style or immaturity of stories or the “cheesiness” of the story does not bother me- if I like it I like it! My only complaint in the fan fiction world is that the writers took the purity of Stephanie Meyer’s Characters and have them (the characters) abuse language by bringing in the crass, crude language that even the villains in the original story lacked. To me, writing is being able to beautifully enough you can distinguish the good from bad without using crass vulgar terms! If we feel these terms are inappropriate around our children, why is it ok for adults? Many will say to me, “DEAL WITH IT!” Why? Do they deal with my beliefs and Values? No, they don’t. So, dear author, your story and message is wonderful, but difficult for me to completely enjoy, because of language! I can say this to many of the fan fiction authors, and I know it will just be ignored, but if a writer truly wants to have undying reputable writing adoration, try reading the classics, form stories with the language they use: Shakespeare, Dickens, Bronte, Austen... yeah, I know all authors fro |
