| Chandramas chapter 4 . 7/13/2013
This story is Awesome! I hope you'll give us a sequel someday! the whole story is heartbreaking but so sweet! and the teddy bear moment... OH my !
| MartyMac chapter 4 . 4/7/2013
Almost too heavy-duty to bear and, at the same time full of sweetness - mostly from Lisbon but also Winston and Cho. Thought hypnotizing Jane was a very effective tool for revealing things. Okay, just one more of your stories tonight or I will OD on the drug Kourion for sure. Please do at least one more chapter of this one, please? Please!
| PiratesLass01 chapter 4 . 6/29/2012
Can I just tell you how utterly captivating, heartbreaking, and brilliant this story was? Regardless of whether or not this plotline could ever have been a possibility for the show, you managed to make it something I could believe. As horrifying as Jane's past was, reading through his abuse, learning Red John's true identity, and watching him take those tiny steps towards recovery, I also feel as if there is a certain measure of hope within these chapters. A sense of closure that, even if the journey was entirely devastating, made me want to stand up and cheer because THIS is why Jane and Lisbon are so good together.
There’s this trust between them, this unyielding connection that I find beautiful. Their relationship isn’t about sex or picking out china sets, it’s about so much more. It’s about understanding, support, and they compliment each other so perfectly and fit together to make this unified unit. Jane’s weaknesses are Lisbon’s strengths and vice versa. I think this is really what you portrayed with this story. My hat is off to you, darling. Bravo. And thank you so much for sharing this rare gem of literary work.

Would be great to read some tags from this ;)
| ClaMiAl chapter 4 . 4/16/2012
Oh, wow. That was so...touching and sad but also beautiful. It says it's complete, but it doesn't feel quite finished. Still, with the hopeful bit at the end there, I'm left feeling a bit fuzzy and content. Though I would love to see the rest of Jane's recovery. And what effect this whole ordeal has on him once he's off all the meds and out and about again.
Oh, I loved this fic. Definitely one of my favourites. :-)
| MentalistLover chapter 4 . 4/8/2012
This was a wonderful mix of their much-missed banter and Jane's pain, shame, and self-perceived guilt. The entire scene in the bookstore/coffee shop was so poignant; the perfect hopeful "ending" for this story. I say "ending" because I really, really hope you will continue with this in the future. There is so much to explore with Jane's emotional journey, Rigsby's interaction with Jane, and of course the J/L relationship you have masterfully created. Please come back with more!
On a more personal note, I hope you are feeling much better and are able to enjoy the Spring!
| MentalistLover chapter 3 . 4/8/2012
I read these last two chapters when I came back from being absent from the boards for quite a while. (I immediately read anything I see posted from you!) I apparently was so far behind on things that I (ashamedly) didn't review them. That is a real travesty because this story is one of my favorites of yours. In all fairness, tho, I often times am so emotionally drained after reading an update of yours that I need some time to really process my feelings before I can review. I mean that in a very positive way! It's why I love your writing so much-you totally draw me into the characters' states of mind.
This chap was no different. I just re-read it, and I'm once again almost speechless. The profound caring shown by Lisbon as she draws Jane back from the horror he has just re-experienced was just beautiful. And Cho's depth of emotion being displayed was perfect. You wrote Jane's transformation so amazingly that I've had tears in my eyes the whole time. I seriously don't know how you do it! Loved the way you ended the chapter, with both Lisbon and Jane understanding the hope and promise that being transferred to Ward A brings.
| nic73 chapter 4 . 3/13/2012
I loved this! You did an excellent job, it must have been difficult to write to get the voice of a mentally sick person but you made it very believable. Also love the idea of Red John being his younger brother. Lots of issues there that would explain Red John's obsession. A sequel of when Jane and Red John meet would be fascinating. Jane's thinking as to have been altered as Red John will be damaged - if not more so as the abuse would have gone on longer - as Jane is(or was).
| MentalistLover chapter 2 . 2/3/2012
This chapter just ripped me apart. Jane's pain is unimaginable and heartbreaking. All I want to do is wrap him in a big hug and never let go. Thank God Lisbon is there to help him through this. And Cho came! Yay! It was wonderful to see how much that meant to Jane. And I LOVE Winston.
How is Jane going to deal with all of this, though?
| bananas r gd chapter 2 . 1/26/2012
