What a comforting story, so very poignant. Great job.
| cmartlover chapter 1 . 4/9/2012
This story was absolutely beautiful:) I loved the issues you addressed and the emotion that was poured into it.
| Starlight1o1 chapter 1 . 11/6/2011
When I first started reading this my thoughts were: This doesn't sound like the River portrayed in the stories at all. I got a totally different image of her. I saw a younger person that knows a lot of sadness. As I read on and the docter appeared I could see the docter really clearly through your words. The usual talking really fast but us still being able to understand most of it came into my mind. (Matt Smith version of course since he is the docter that really gets to know River) At some parts of the story though I had two flickering images of the Docter and River. One was of them they way they look and talk in the T.V. show. The other however was much different. I saw them as younger. River was this girl who knew a lot about the world and suffering but moved on anyway. Strong but Delicate. The Docter was this guy with a crazy grin but he also had a sensitive understanding side. River in terms of looks to me from your story seemed to have long blond curls and bright eyes. Like I said before storng but delicate. Not to mention unexplicably sad. The Docter the way I saw him in your story was this young guy with dark hair and again a crazy grin but also such sad and old eyes. Still tall and skinny but there was a difference in the way his face looked to me. Intelligent but also caring. In my eyes the Docter and River you made me see were a Docter and River I much rather prefered over the Docter and River in the T.V. show. The way you wrote the two seemed so much more real and meaningful. So with that I congradulate you on making already well liked charaters into something deeper. The way you wrote them is the way that I think they were meant to be portrayed.
| x-Goody2Shoes-x chapter 1 . 10/8/2011
I... am speechles.
That was perfection. Bumbling, hyperactive Doctor in the beginning, pensive River, to seriousness on both parts, bit of timey wimey and some fluff... Loved it!
| penguinspy42 chapter 1 . 10/6/2011
The image of her blue journal contrasting with the dullness of her surroundings. I love that the Doctor offers her the promise of home, and with that, everything that she's never had. Brilliant as always!
| Guest chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
this is an excellent explanation to the WORS. I'd forgotten the doctor had asked if she was married and she said yes

| Skye007lex chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
Love love love this story. That line he spoke to her in the episode was horrible, and I know he said it for a reaction but hooorrriiibbbbllleeee :(
So thank you for this, you made it all better again...as usual!
| Gaialy chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
Short and sweet. Just the way I like them:)
| TaMant chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
This story is so good. River and Doctor are very in character. I loved you explore Doctor doubts about River's love for him and how she explain, totally makes sense. Love it so much
| Franbunanza chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
Wow, just wow. that was absolutely beautiful. the discription of their kiss was really well done. this might be my favourite River/doctor
| GranuailesDance1057 chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
"Welcome home, wife."
Okay, pretty sure I just died at that line. This - I hate repeating myself when I leave reviews, especially for your stories, and really my reviews would pretty much all the be the same if I ended up reviewing EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of them - is perfect and tear-inducing and slightly angst-y (River feeling like she deserved to be in Stormcage because of what happened in Berlin...my HEART.) and AMAZING.
Also, I loved how you described the gray, dullness of River's cell. How she clung to her diary, and it was the only bit of color that she had left.
| on-stolen-time chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
Omg. How do you do it? Every single damn thing you write has me in tears. I swear. Half my love for this pairing has to be from you and your magnificent writing.
| Symphony In Blue chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
There's so much to love about this story that I don't even know what to mention first.
The fact that River feels she deserves to be in prison because she technically did kill the Doctor in Berlin just breaks my heart. It's so sad, because at the time she didn't know any better, and she was trained to kill him after all.
I love how neither Kovarian nor Amy had any real influence on how she felt about the Doctor, and that it was in fact the TARDIS that taught her what she needed to know about the Doctor, and that it was this knowledge that ultimately made her fall in love with him.
And River coming home and living with the Doctor after she's served her sentence, that just needs to become canon. Imagine the amazing things they could do if they were together all the time!
(sorry about my rambling, but I just really loved it)
| Lady September chapter 1 . 10/5/2011
I can't believe no one's reviewed this before! This is gorgeous, such a beautiful piece of writing. I can really imagine this is what happened after TWoRS.
The throwbacks to TBB where he asks her to marry him made me smile. And the ending is brilliant, too. I have to say, though, that my favorite part was when River explained why she loves him, because since LKH it's been annoying me how fast she changed from "I'm going to kill him" to "I'm going to give up my lives for him". It gave me something that I can relate back to the show.
So thank you for that, and I'll keep a lookout for your future stories :)
