I thank you greatly for gracing the world with your creative and insightful works. I believe, that you might well be the first person since Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who truly understands the characters involved in the story. You also understand that character is more important than absolute accuracy. For times will change but the people who see them shall not. Your interpretation of all of the characters was quite good. The only point that you could improve on is adjusting a few slight spelling errors. Such as 'an' turning to 'and'. Again, thank you for giving me something to read this night.

very, very good ending. i especially liked the little twist with the carpet and the place where sherlock really was hidden, and mycrofts behaviour when he talked to john.

That exchange of dialogue sums up my thoughts perfectly. :-) After the chaos and torment of the previous chapters, it was nice to have a tender moment between John and Mary. I also thoroughly enjoyed the conversation between John and Mycroft.

Magnificent description! The depiction of the explosion and the aftermath is amazing and incredibly vivid. John’s thought process – from his reminiscing about Sherlock, to the interrogation of Walsh to the search of the building – was superb.

You even managed to work in a touch of humor in the midst of the drama and suspense. I loved the bit where John remarks "I'm a doctor and I will do as I bloody well please" and Lestrade laughed.

I’m thrilled that Sherlock has been found and relatively safe (after all, you dare not hurt him anymore - right?). I’m off to the next chapter.

For what it's worth, I'm really glad you didn't kill Sherlock. Great story, will read more of your stuff, you're good...

Well. I stupidly scrolled down to the bottom of this chapter before reading it, for reasons unknown, and caught a fleeting glimpse of "I never planned to kill off Sherlock..." One can imagine my distress as I quickly scrolled back up and began to read, imagining, as I did so, the things that sentence might have ended with, all of which began with "but."

Fantastic job, taking such a morbid plot and making it so... enjoyable. I'm not one for the horror genre but I very much enjoyed this.
