I can't tell you how I'm always looking forward to the next chapter. As much as I love the Castle family and the 12th precinct family, I love trying to get a glimpse of just the two of them.

Thank you for giving us the story about the rings and how Kate reacts to "losing" the ring. I can sympathize with her because it's not just something you can by but the emotional attachment to it. Thanks for giving the back story.

By the way, I also wanted to thank you for responding about my lame issues about translations. I must say I'm at least getting a crash course in French. Now I wish I paid more attention to my college roommate that took a semester in France.

I need to admit that I think Castle's approach to a missing wedding ring was too thoughtless. It's not just a piece of metal, but something of intensely emotional value. But anyway, they got it back and I love the way they compromised on the honeymoon!

I am so relieved tat she found her ring. Presently my engagement ring and wedding band are off at the jeweler getting resized :(. And hubby LOST HIS! I am so sad! Granted it IS just metal, but it is the band I got for him, had our initials and wedding date carved into it, AND we said our ows to each other with them. So sad! So I completely understand this so much!

So *that* is how they ended up backpacking in France for their honeymoon! Thank you for sharing that part of the story. I'm glad the scare with the wedding ring was quickly resolved. It's an awful feeling, to think you've lost such a thing. It happened to me, when I thought I had lost mine in a swimming pool, as it tended to slip off my finger in the cool water. It turned out I had taken it off ahead of time and zipped it into a pocket of my purse, but I only remembered that after about half an hour of panic. So Kate had my complete sympathy!

Been meaning to review this chapter. I really liked how you wrote about the odious Jeanne. Everywhere seems to have a petty tyrant like her, exercising control over whatever sphere she can manage to dominate. I liked how you pointed out how Benedicte's hands are tied, and how Benedicte's excellent manners made it difficult for Kate to understand how matters stood at first.

Kate tearing apart her bag looking for her ring was pure anguish. I love the phrase "eyes brittle with anguish."

I don't know, but just the thought of Kate and Castle thinking about where to put the sunblock makes me smile. It's all in the details.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing us how they made the deal. It's beautiful and so very them, always has been, but this makes the first 17 chapters even more special to me (and at the same time I love that you saved the flashback 'til now).

First of all I love you, thank you for the quick update! I did a little dance in my seat when I saw the alert in my inbox; thank goodness for the privacy of my room, it was not pretty! Anyhow, this chapter, it was fantastic. I am a wee bit overjoyed right this moment, so I apologize in advance whatever this will be. This story just leaves me with the stupidest smile and such a happy feeling. I just really love it, I am even dancing a little in my chair right now, the music is playing, I am excused, but it just, it makes me really happy to read this story and it needs an outlet which evidently is dance today. It is a wonderful story and they are so beautiful and in character and I am so glad her ring is found. I love that she freaked out about it being missing because of her reasons, it made me heart ache just a bit, I recognized the feeling of panic and comfort of having it back, and mine is not even that special, but great job on that. Also I cannot wait for the conversation when she explains it to him, why she freaked out that is. School does not start until next week, so I have spent the last weeks reading a whole lot and even more reading FanFiction, so I apologize if I am thinking about the wrong story, I might be, but there was this note about him applying meaning to words, about it being his thing and her needing to use them more, you sort of mentioned it when she explained the whole deal about why she married him, but that was not actually the moment I was thinking about, but anyhow, I think this will be a case of that and I cannot wait! I loved the line 'It has memories attached to it, beautiful memories that she will cherish always...' Especially that you used always and not forever, since that it their word. But really, I loved everything about this, as usual. The flashback was so fabulous and I love the story behind the deal, how she got all excited, it was so cute and the whole arrangement was awesome and just them! And the sealing of the deal melted my heart. Also, I love how they both, not came to the conclusion because they have also known it, but that thought of it being the person they want, not some material thing. Her in the shop and him in the train, I really liked that they both had that thought. It was beautiful! And I had more to say, but there is not enough time. But basically all you really need to know is that I loved it and reading it makes me immensely glad and I cannot wait for more!
