For something to happen to spoil their relationship, it would have to be totally out of character for either of them. Their love is great and they are both faithful and loyal to each other. It would take something catastrophic to divide them.

Very nice story! It seems to me that it is very different from all your other Castle fictions maybe because I am familiar with the places that you talk about. I liked every bit of it, the hiking, Kate enjoying French food, both of them speaking French, Castle's deep insecurities, Bénédicte and Hélène and talking about future children, Kate losing it over her missing ring, Kate being sick etc. At some point, I thought she was pregnant, being emotionnally unstable and physically sick but the end came to quickly for this to happen. Anyway, it was very pleasant to read about Rick and Kate's honeymoon and beautifully written, as always.

By the way, in chapter 4: "The woman just oozes sex appeal twenty-four seven." best line ever!

I love the whole mention of Johanna and what she said about sunset. That's so beautiful and I love those glimpses into who she was as a person, not just a mother. I love the stories of Kate camping. I'd love more things like that on the show. I mean we do get a lot of Kate backstory but still.

Love the bird stuff and how Castle just climbs a tree like a big idiot. Did you know Penny Johnson Jerald was climbing a tree months before she got Castle and then got amnesia when she fell out of it? Yeah maybe grown ups shouldn't climb trees haha.

Everything is too happy. It's about to get bad. I feel it. So I always feel bad withou long reviews but sometimes I just wanna read but then of course I forget. Let's see.

I love that image of them standing there, her back against his chest and him kissing her neck. It's so intimate and I just really appreciate how sexy it is. I can picture it all so clearly and since I've never been to France it's really nice because I feel like I'm there.

I love the description of Casual Beckett and all he still has to learn about her. I kind of love that it's an ongoing mystery; it keeps things lively. And also these people speaking French. Yes. Can we get them to speak other languages? Or sexy time. Or anything?

Hahaha Castle would totally love euros because they were colorful. Because he's precious and ridiculous and why is he not mine? I also love that you mention smorelette in here since he made her one at the end of Significant Others. I love that it's actually a THING now.

A lot of this reminds me of For Lovers Only. Not the story of course but the setting and just the adventure of it and I love that actually. Excited for more!

I love the quiet romance of this one. The image of them sitting at a cafe after hiking, reliving their first conversation, realizing that yeah this is it. And I actually like the fact that it's a little weird. Not so much that they're married but that it's THEM and they took roads to get here and it worked out how it did. It's wonderment and I love that notion.

I'm scared to see what happens. Can't be happy forever! Haha.

She remembers the semester in Kiev, and then her tour of Europe, sleeping in youth hostels, or wherever they could find a bed. Life can be adventurous and fun in different ways than laser tag or throwing fancy parties. - Girl you're crazy. Take the nice hotels!

"See, that's just not fair," he objects decidedly. "You know I can't keep my mouth shut." - LOL he's precious.

Beautiful ending to a beautiful story. I love how much they've each put their guard down, how deeply in love they are, how they've learned about each other and themselves. I love how a sickness that could have ruined their vacation, actually brought them closer together. I love how they've each retained their uniqueness, and their love is only taking each of them closer to the truth of who they are. I love how extraordinary, and yet simple, it all is. And of course I love your writing. Beautifully done.
