I'm going to CRY! I didn't know that you could write poetry like that! Now I want to be lily! You have reduced me to tears. Congratulations. :D this has to be the best poem ever written in the entire uninverse. I mean universe. That too :) thank you for blessing that you have just bestowed on this earth :) llap!

It's really good! Very sweet. It truly captures that moment. Yes, a little cheesy, but there's nothing wrong with that. You might get rid of the inactive "would"s and "sent from above" could be changed, and the "as if." "Forgotten about me" is a bit awkward, in terms of meter. One other thing- maybe don't begin so many sentences with "And." Perhaps you meant it as a rhythmic device, but I think it interrupts the flow. Mostly, though, I absolutely love your wording- "felt at peace with your hand in mine" and the part about the fallen tree. There's a marvelous shift in mood; it's easy to see the lovely carefree youthful days and then the sort of shadow that's fallen over their love. Great work, Flying Machine! Thanks for writing it :D
