|Reviews for The Secret Ingredient is Love|
| Futon lord chapter 1 . 1/13
Okay...a man this stupid deserves the breakup. Thankfully, canon Shirou is not this much of an idiot.
| Ascarde chapter 1 . 9/28/2013
Shirou; the densest material known to man.
| Gateman chapter 1 . 9/15/2013
this is better than In the Blood but not quite as good as Sick Time or Behind Closed Doors. I just can't take this one seriously.
Which might be a good thing considering how depressing it would be if I could.
| Yikari chapter 1 . 8/23/2013
...bloody hilarious with an undertone of the uncanny valley.
| Dragonskyt chapter 1 . 2/26/2013
You really took Shirou's obliviousness to the maximum level. I got a good laugh out of it, but Shirou must have broken down even further than he originally was.
| Festus Flare chapter 1 . 12/26/2012
... What the FUCK did I just read? I don't know, but it's HILARIOUS!
| Guest chapter 1 . 8/19/2012
That was really more depressing than humorous
I laughed of course but still
| Aishata chapter 1 . 3/3/2012
Fucking hilarious. Lol.
| NuitTombee chapter 1 . 2/2/2012
Too be honest, it was more sad than funny. To the best of my knowledge, having never watched/played/read the originals, Shiro was one to put the need's of others before his own.
It was well written for sure, but it just didn't seem very funny at all. In point of fact, it made me think of NTR, just with an extra female instead of a male.
| chronodekar chapter 1 . 12/19/2011
This was funny! Talk about being obsessed with food. Really brings a whole new meaning to the idea of ... "other kitchen" !
Thanks for making me smile,
| SilverIceRing chapter 1 . 11/7/2011
Well, that was messed up. Funny in so many ways, but really really messed up. It actually depressed me a little.
Of course, the depression came only after I had my fits and giggles, but that's beside the point.
Either way, an interesting read to be sure.
| Liberius chapter 1 . 11/5/2011
Not that this wasn't Hilarious, but if I remember correctly (I've haven't played the VN for at least three years) in True HF Shirou is almost completely dependent on Sakura for his survival and will DIE if she doesn't provide mana for him. More importantly, considering the fact that he no longer has a human boy he probably isn't capable of retaining a completely functional and dynamic mind. In that light, it came off less as "Shirou is hilariously inattentive" and more like "Sakura abandons (and thereby murders) her mentally-disabled-lover-who-sacrificed-everything-for-her because she found his mental disability annoying."
It... leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I respect your creativity in this, but as someone who had to take care of mentally-ill relatives this comes off as more than a little nauseating.
| Bloodhawk 248 chapter 1 . 10/26/2011
Seriously, one-track mind. And not even on the good stuff.
Ha, that was hilarious. A really good way of taking Shirou's obliviousness to the extreme. Poor Sakura...gets the love of her life and is promptly sidelined for the kitchen. The funny thing is, Shirou probably won't dwell too long on the affair - it's off to cook Chinese for him.
What an awkward conversation. So I guess it's Hero of Justice - boyfriend - Unlimited Cooking Works?
Great story. Melike.
| Warclam chapter 1 . 10/21/2011
This started odd, and then just continued in that vein. Hilarious and brilliant. Having the old "piece of meat" line be literal was inspired.
| Master Leonheart chapter 1 . 10/20/2011
Okay... I don't even know where to start. First... Rider loves Sakura in a yuri sort of way? Huh? Second.. if this is after heaven's feel, well shit. The guy's not even in a proper human body after that route. Also, Shirou has to be some kind of complete total asshole to not be there for Sakura when he literally threw away ALL of his ideals for her. Hero's of justice are supposed to think of the many over the few, but in that particular route, you should know that shirou said.. I love sakura so much that I'll give up my very core of existence for her. This story just said, fuck you canon, I want yuri... let's bump off shirou cause I like yuri. Then let's not give him any girls left since Rin is gone and now Sakura is gone.. basically saying FUCK YOU SHIROU, you're a dude and now you get no one. Well... he probably gets an ilya.. but that's a lolicon route I don't want to go down on. I like your (non homo) stuff, but seriously... do you really have to screw over your protagonist like that?
