Oh. My. God. Hello from the year 2025 where I’ve just read this story for this first time - in an absolute fugue state over a roughly 40 hour period. I slept 3 hours last night! I basically blew off work yesterday and today to focus on reading this fic!

I don’t meant to be hasty because I know I’m coming out of this on a high and very little sleep, but I’m genuinely like…..best fic I’ve ever read? I don’t know man, it was just SO good. I love a slow burn SOOOOO much, and you did it my absolute favorite way. I loved how much stupid ridiculous attention every little detail got. Every brush of a hand sent them into a frenzy that would last a whole chapter. I loved that they couldn’t stay away from each other, their stupid rollercoaster where it always ended up with them back together. I love the build up of physical intimacy long before being able to admit feelings or name what they’re doing. This is my dream fic, truly.

And I just loved so much how you write Rachel and Quinn. I’m iffy sometimes on canon fics set this early on (my disclaimer here is that I’ve only been reading faberry for about a month haha) bc a lot of times it feels like writers have to change the characters to make their relationship convincing - but my god, you nailed it. They (especially Quinn obvs) were so mean and awful and it was just, yes! Exactly! If they’re going to get together, they’re not going to suddenly change their personalities (again, especially Quinn)!

To be frank, them ending still having a secret relationship? Chefs kiss. Perfect. No notes. (I do know there’s a sequel so if that suddenly changes this, that’s fine, I trust you to do it right.)

My literal only criticism of this story is the awful awful transphobia - I’ll chalk it up to the time it was written, but it’s pretty gruesome every time it comes up - otherwise a perfect story. Thank you for writing! I’m so excited to read the sequel!

Ok so i found this on 2023 and it made me like glee again. Your fanfic is pretty good, usually i cringe at this stuff but I really liked this one. I'd love to read the sequel but keepinh in mind that you finished publishing this on 2015, i imagine that you drop the proyect, wich is a pitty but there is nothing I can't do. Anyways this was a really good story :)

Despite the fact it was supposed to be be a happy ending I found all of the things very sad. Rachel is still a dirty little secret and Quinn is still very selfish and did what she did because she wanted Rachel not because Rachel deserved it. At the end, Quinn is the most entitle and toxic character I have ever the displeasure of read. Except for Santana who is by far, worst. And Brittany... is still very much a bitch in her own way. Not even cute, just selfish like the others.

I will read the sequel hoping for a real change in their dynamic but I won't hold my breath. It's one of the worst fic I ever read. I suppose their is still something good in it, if not I wouldn't have read it and go for the sequel but jeez, if it's how young people nowadays saw romantic and healthy relationship, no wonder there is more break up than happy ending in real life.

why is quinn tryna gaslight rach

I have no idea why this story is tagged romance. This is a straight up abusive relationship. So much so that Quinn's behaviour and treatment of Rachel is actually like an A-Z textbook of abuser tactics. And Rachel keeps on forgiving her not because she is a nice person, but because she is a victim, and abuse victims get trapped in the cycle of abuse and forgiveness. It is truly scary, and worrying, that the author thinks this is a romantic story. I can only assume that is because either they themselves are an abuser and see this behaviour as acceptable, or they're a victim of abuse who doesn't yet know that this type of behaviour is abusive.

Nothing good can come out of this relationship. Its toxic as shit already and too much has happened for any forgiveness to be even remotely believable. Suspension of disbelief can only go so far.

Basically this is the kind of appalling relationship that we see depicted on TV, a fucking horror show disguised as a beautiful romance. The author could be a writer for a shitty companies like CW. They love this level of toxicity.

Okay Quinn in the beginning and actually till the previous chapter was a toxic, manipulative bitch, but, oh, what a nice change in the end. Really liked this story, incredibly written!

Read this about 3 years ago and I just had to re-read this again so I can read series two. Love it then love it now so many feels while reading, : )
