hi there!
i first read this fic nine years ago and adored it. i made all my highschool friends read it with me and i'd spend hours talking with them at lunch about it- going over these beautiful sweeping metaphors and story choices you plucked out of thin air and wove into! such an incredible journey that managed to stay so grounded and so all encompassing at the same time. I remember being completely blown away by your prose and your plot and they way you wrote about love. specifically how you wrote about dean and cas. i was beyond moved by it and so i lovingly put it in my bookmarks so i could stumble back here when i had a rough weekend and revisit the hot springs arc or reread cas and dean spilling their truths. Or when i needed to push down my own rage i'd flip to that chapter as well.

this story was DEEPLY formative for me, and coming back nine years later- 25 years old and about to wrap up on an illustration degree- it's so amazing to see how this shaped my love of stories. the telling and the choices and the emotion and the compulsion for expression that just! pours out of every line of this fic. i sat in bed and read the whole thing again today instead of doing my homework, just like i used to back in highschool.

i haven't engaged with the spn fandom in six years or so, but seeing the road the show is taking reignited some lost loyalty in me and i'm so glad i came back to revisit this. it brought me as much joy this time as the last time i read it. and i want to thank you for helping shape the way i love things these days, as well as helping me on the hard days all those years ago. i really hope you are still writing, because it's so clear to me you have such wonderful stories to share and that your talent should be spread around as widely as possible.

i have no idea if you're going to get an email about this but it felt like an important thing to pass on, with how full circle everything is feeling suddenly. thank you for this. it's moved me in ways i can't even begin to explain.

The way Dean cares for Cas' grace is so cute!

I love the battle over Cas between Dean and Balthazar. It's great that Cas has people who really care about him. Also the couple's councelling was SO GOOD!
