It is such a beautiful, but it has such a sad ending. You wrote a great story with an ending that left the rest up to the imagination.

Wow... this is an unbelievable story and I love it. The 2nd to last chapter was really sad... but I'm glad that everything works out in the end.

FINALLY! I've been reading this story for the past few nights, being more and more frustated by every chapter. I've been wondering when will the two of them get it down. I think that this fic is one piece of fine work. I found out about this fic through a Hermione/Snape websiter that totally recommended it because of its very logical plot. There's no sudden burning of passion and all( not that I don't agree with that but this is refreshing).Well, I'm trying to get to the end tonight seeing that it's less than ten chapters.

In the very first chapter Pettigrew outs the 'crucio' on Snape. Now, how and why would Peter be given the athority to place that spell on anyone especially some as high up in the inner circle as Severus Snape?

That was wonderful, I absolutely adored it.

Your original character was realistic, Seviekins was a sarcastic bastard and Hermione was a neurotic list maker. Perfect in every way. It's fics like these that make me remember why I'm a SS/HG shipper. So often I'll trudge through something that has obviously been written for the forbidden thrill so this was a beautiful treat.

Your story somehow manages to include humour, drama, romance and hope without it seeming at all forced. I am completely in awe, thank you.

P.S. I loved the ending. Very much like Hermione.

Aw, I just love this story. No matter how many times I've read it, the ending catches me every time. It feels like someones taken my heart and wrenched it with their fist, every time I read the last chapter and epilogue. It's just so perfectly depressing, angsty, and hopeful, all mushed into one. Brava.

Lovely story, by the way. Now that I've calmed, I just hate sad endings. Anything except fluffy clouds and bunnies leaves me feeling unfinished... a lack of closure, if you will.

This story is simply wonderful. I have sacrified few nights' sleep to read it. And now when I've just finished reading it I don't even feel disappointed. But I must admit that few chapters enangered me, I wanted to quit few times, not to read the rest of the story. But I simply couldn't. I wanted to know whether they would be together or not. But I didn't except an ending like this. I thought that you would end with some happy thing, like wedding or something. But not with Severus ill and losing his memory. The chapter before the last one was even worse - but I don't mean it in a negative meaning. When I saw words "The end" I was so surprised and confused. I forgot that there was another chapter. I thought that you have left them like that - Severus without a memory of loving her, Hermione with a burden of that knowledge. But even though the ending is not particulary happy one, it is optimistic. Because I think (I'm sure) that Hermione would find a cure.

I wish to congratulate you, because you have really written a great fic.

i really liked this story but I took your advice and stopped here... I didn't read on because I wanted this story to have a happy ending of some sort... maybe you should write and alternate ending possibly... please think about it...

Wow. Your story is just ... wow. For lack of any proper word. It is the first that made me write a review and I've read quite a lot fanfics.

I enjoyed reading it even more than any of the original books. Your talent to add just the right amount of humor to the right points is incredible and left me with tears of laughter more than once. For example transfiguring dumbledore into a frog and sending him to france labelled "fine legs". And I love your disclaimers.

And though I like a happy ending, I nevertheless wouldn't have missed the ending of your story, though it left me with tears of a different kind.

I've read a lot of SS/HG fics and this is the first I've actually been, for lack of a better term, moved by. Not only did you do a fabulous job of balancing the passion and tension with humour and honesty, but you also avoided the, as you call it, "happy ending" that happens so often. What's more, you avoided it in a heartbreakingly eloquent way, made all the more heartbreaking by the amount of characterisation you used. Excellent job. I have only one question: am I, as per usual, incorrect in thinking the "terrible disease" is cancer?
