![]() ![]() ![]() I was told to read this fic and it has not disappointed! Chapter one down and excited to read more! :) |
![]() ![]() Thank you very much for writing this beautiful story :) |
![]() ![]() Wow! What a beautiful universe you created! I love Emily and Rabbit! And Mary and Matthew finally getting their happily ever after. I hope you will continue their story. I would love to see a fic with spunky Emily and reserved Peter and M/M future children grown up and discover their loves. |
![]() ![]() I was hooked on your tale and couldn't stop reading! Thank you for the happy ending! Your dialogue for Violet is THE BEST I've ever read! Brilliant writing! :-) |
![]() ![]() What an intriguing plot. I can't wait to see how this unfolds. Back to Downton we go! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for this amazing story, this really is a wonderful love story even though it takes them 20 years to finally to be together. Oh how I wished this was the real end for DA. But I must say you had me beginning to like Richard, even though I normally is a Mary/Matthew-shipper, and I really felt sorry for Richard when he died, but I had expected it. Peter and Emily are amazing characters. -BlackQueen- |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awwww that was so perfect! I LOVED this story! And I will look forward to reading more about these characters and this 'verse you've created. Thanks for writing this, it was a pleasure to read! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very nice job showing how Emily and Matthew could forge a real relationship: you treated Emily with respect and made her out to be an intelligent young woman, instead of condescending to her merely because she was still a child. That scene with the two of them sitting on the floor in the library was one of the highlights of your work, and an insightful, refreshing piece of writing in its own right. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, you're doing a painful, exquisite job of portraying a dying man's final days. The last line of Richard's life even has a kind of macabre humor to it, in its ugliness and its sadness. Truly powerful writing. You've struck an excellent balance of keeping all the characters in-character, entirely believable, human and flawed each in their own ways, and beautiful in their own ways, too. Still shipping Mary & Matthew and relieved that Richard is finally out of the picture, but now I regret his loss...I'm not celebrating it wholeheartedly. Fantastic storytelling. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I actually liked Richard's character on the tv-show, and I like him even better here... :) "After a dinner or a party, they'd shared a glass of wine or she'd drink from his tumbler, he would have his cigar and she a cigarette. She'd kick off her shoes, toy with her necklace; he'd rub her feet absentmindedly" - great paragraph! loved this little picture of their life together! |
![]() ![]() ![]() These last couple of chapters have been incredibly powerfull... You're a great writer. Thank you for sharing this story here with us... :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my God...! Your dialogues are just GREAT! But Violet's... Wow! They're perfect! And also the children's... I've read several stories in this website that have children being way too childish for their years (speaking like "me wants mi-milk" when they're supposed to be 6, 7 or 8 yrs old), or, on the other hand, being way to adult in both understanding and/or expressions... But not you. You write then exactly as they're supposed to be... Thank you for your attention to those details...! Loving this story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome 1st chapter! amazing dialogues, great descriptions, and spot on! I can imagine these scenes being played on the tv show very, very easily, because it's really Downton-Abbey-ish! :) Congratulations! You're a great writer. Hugs from Portugal , Célia |
![]() ![]() ![]() Cannot breathe...so beautiful. And the ending...next chapter, please! |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a beautiful ending! It was perfect, and I knew that somehow the family would come up together. Thank you for this beautiful story. A sequel would certainly be worth waiting for! |
